A CLI and an MCP server that let AI agents quote, swap and transfer on Base, HyperEVM and Monad, and use Aave V3 on Base, through Fibrous routing. Listed in the official MCP Registry as `finance.fibrous/fibx`. ## Try it now `npx fibx quote` asks Fibrous for a route and prints it. It needs no wallet and no account. Executing a trade needs one of the three ways to sign, described under Safety model. ``` npx fibx quote 0.01 ETH USDC ``` ``` ✔ Quote ready input 0.01 ETH output ~22.524249 USDC rate 1 ETH ≈ 2252.4249 USDC slippage 0.5% router 0x274602a953847d807231d2370072f5f4e4594b44 chain base → To execute: fibx trade 0.01 ETH USDC ``` Real output, captured 5 November 2026. Prices move by the second. ## Connect it to your agent stdio · `npx -y fibx mcp-start` Claude Desktop, Cursor and Antigravity read the same JSON from their own config file. Claude Code takes one command. ### Claude Desktop `claude_desktop_config.json` ```json { "mcpServers": { "fibx": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "fibx", "mcp-start"] } } } ``` Quit and reopen Claude Desktop afterwards. ### Cursor `.cursor/mcp.json` ```json { "mcpServers": { "fibx": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "fibx", "mcp-start"] } } } ``` Add it to the project, in `.cursor/mcp.json`. ### Antigravity `~/.gemini/antigravity/mcp_config.json` ```json { "mcpServers": { "fibx": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "fibx", "mcp-start"] } } } ``` The same JSON as Claude Desktop and Cursor. ### Claude Code ``` claude mcp add fibx -- npx -y fibx mcp-start ``` One command registers FibX as an MCP server. ## The FibX app, inside the chat In hosts that render MCP Apps UI, `open_fibx` shows the wallet, balances, signing policy and a swap form with the Fibrous route inline. Claude Desktop does this today. The model opens the app; the user presses Simulate and Swap, and the model never does. 1. The model calls `open_fibx`. The app opens in the chat with your wallet, balances and signing policy. 2. You press Simulate. A dry run previews the transaction without broadcasting it. 3. You press Swap. The policy is checked before the signature. Over WalletConnect, you approve on your phone. ## Safety model ### Three ways to sign 1. your own wallet over WalletConnect, where every transaction is approved on your phone; 2. a Privy server wallet; 3. an imported key, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. ### A local signing policy the user owns, enforced before every signature on all three paths - a cap on the **native-token value** (ETH, HYPE, MON) of each transaction, per chain; - allowed chains; - allowed destinations; - an expiry. Token amounts are bounded by the allowed destinations, not by the value cap. A lapsed policy refuses everything. ### Simulate is available, not automatic. Every write tool supports a `simulate` dry run that previews the transaction without broadcasting it. In the FibX app, Simulate and Swap are buttons the user presses. ## What it can do FibX exposes 19 MCP tools in four groups. It also shows a cross-chain portfolio with USD values. - The app (2): `open_fibx`, `list_tokens` - Read-only (9): `get_quote`, `get_auth_status`, `get_connect_status`, `get_balance`, `get_portfolio`, `get_tx_status`, `get_aave_status`, `get_aave_markets`, `get_policy` - Transactional (3), flagged `destructiveHint`: `swap_tokens`, `send_tokens`, `aave_action` - Session and policy (5): `connect_wallet`, `config_action`, `set_policy_rule`, `clear_policy_rule`, `logout` ## Supported networks | Network | Value cap in | Aave V3 | | -------- | ------------ | ------- | | Base | ETH | Yes | | HyperEVM | HYPE | No | | Monad | MON | No | FibX does not run on Starknet. The value cap is set per chain, in that chain's native token. ## The wider kit - `fibx-skills`: Agent Skills for Claude Code, Cursor and other agents. It scans liquidity and pricing data from all integrated sources on Starknet, Base, HyperEVM and Monad. For each trade, it splits the order across venues to find the best executable route, so you don’t have to compare sources yourself. Your minimum output is enforced: if it isn’t met when the swap lands, the transaction does not execute. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#features-and-functionality-how-does-fibrous-work ### What distinguishes Fibrous from other aggregators? Fibrous is a multi-chain DEX aggregator with integrations on Starknet, Base, HyperEVM and Monad. It combines that liquidity access with trading tools such as **Batch Swaps** and **Limit Orders**, which give traders more efficiency and control. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#features-and-functionality-what-distinguishes-fibrous-from-other-aggregators ### What tools does the Fibrous Interface provide to its users? - **Integrated TradingView Charts:** For advanced price analysis. - **Transaction History:** To easily track and review past trades. - **Portfolio Tab:** A clear overview of asset balances and positions. - **Advanced Trading Tools:** Features like Batch Swap and Limit Order. - **Slippage Tolerance Control:** Customizable settings for trade execution. - **Real-Time Price Updates:** Live data from all integrated liquidity sources. - **Fibrous AI:** A command bar in the app. Type a trade in plain words, such as “swap 100 USDC to ETH on Base”, and it fills in the form. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#features-and-functionality-what-tools-does-the-fibrous-interface-provide-to-its-users ### What kind of transactions does Fibrous support? - **Single Swaps:** Swapping one token for another at the best executable rate. - **Batch Swaps:** Swapping multiple tokens for a single token in one transaction. - **Limit Orders:** Setting specific price targets for automatic execution. - **Predict:** Trading on real-world outcomes such as crypto prices, sports and macro events. Settled on Hyperliquid, so it needs the HyperEVM network. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#features-and-functionality-what-kind-of-transactions-does-fibrous-support ### How is Fibrous able to offer better prices? By aggregating liquidity from multiple sources on Starknet, Base, HyperEVM and Monad, Fibrous can: - Split your trade across different pools to minimize slippage. - Access deeper liquidity, reducing the impact of large orders. - Optimize routes to find the best executable price, compared with trading on a single liquidity source. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#features-and-functionality-how-is-fibrous-able-to-offer-better-prices ### Can I be a liquidity provider on Fibrous? No. Fibrous does not have its own liquidity sources and therefore does not accommodate individual liquidity providers. If you’re interested in providing liquidity, you can do so directly on the platforms integrated with Fibrous, such as Ekubo, JediSwap or Aerodrome. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#features-and-functionality-can-i-be-a-liquidity-provider-on-fibrous ## Tokens and swapping ### Which tokens can I swap on Fibrous? Fibrous supports all tokens available through its integrated liquidity sources on Starknet, Base, HyperEVM and Monad. The interface shows a default list of the most popular tokens. You can trade any other token by searching for its name or pasting its contract address. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#tokens-and-swapping-which-tokens-can-i-swap-on-fibrous ### Which liquidity sources is Fibrous integrated with? Batch Swap lets you trade multiple different tokens for a single token, all within one transaction. Fibrous optimizes the pricing for each individual swap within the batch. It is especially useful for portfolio rebalancing or consolidating multiple assets into one. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#tokens-and-swapping-what-are-batch-swaps ### What are limit orders and how do they work? A limit order lets you set the price at which you want to buy or sell a token. It executes automatically only when the market reaches that price. - **Price control:** trades execute only at your specified price or better. - **Automation:** no need to monitor the market constantly. - **Self-custody:** assets remain in your wallet until the order is executed. - **Flexibility:** cancel or modify orders at any time before execution. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#tokens-and-swapping-what-are-limit-orders-and-how-do-they-work ### Does Fibrous support cross-chain swaps? Currently, Fibrous does not directly support cross-chain swaps. Fibrous operates as an aggregator within its integrated networks (Starknet, Base, HyperEVM and Monad). To trade assets using the Fibrous interface, first bridge your tokens to one of these networks. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#tokens-and-swapping-does-fibrous-support-cross-chain-swaps ### What is slippage? Slippage is the difference between the expected price of a trade and the final price at which it is executed. It commonly occurs for three reasons: - **Market volatility:** rapid price movements between the time a transaction is submitted and confirmed. - **Liquidity changes:** large trades that affect the asset balance within a liquidity pool. - **Network congestion:** delays in transaction confirmation on the blockchain. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#tokens-and-swapping-what-is-slippage ### How do I limit slippage? - Set a slippage tolerance in the Fibrous interface to an acceptable level. - Use Limit Orders so trades execute only at your price or better. - Trade during stable market conditions and periods of high liquidity. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#tokens-and-swapping-how-do-i-limit-slippage ## Fees and costs ### What is the service fee within Fibrous? App swaps carry a Fibrous service fee that depends on the route: - Single-route swaps: **0.02%**. - Multi-route swaps: **0.15%**. The fee is deducted from the swap amount. Network gas is extra. **API and SDK:** Fibrous adds no fee to swaps routed through the API or SDK. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#fees-and-costs-what-is-the-service-fee-within-fibrous ### Are there any gas fees? Yes. Every transaction pays the gas fee of the network it runs on, in that network’s native token. Gas goes to the network that processes the transaction, not to Fibrous. On supported networks, Gasless Swap lets the Fibrous Paymaster cover the gas. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#fees-and-costs-are-there-any-gas-fees ### How does owning a StarkRock NFT affect fees? On **Starknet only**, holders of StarkRocks NFTs pay no Fibrous service fee and have their network gas covered. On Base, HyperEVM and Monad, the standard fees apply. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#fees-and-costs-how-does-owning-a-starkrock-nft-affect-fees ## Security ### Is Fibrous storing my tokens? No. Fibrous is non-custodial: your assets remain in your wallet until you execute a transaction. Tokens are transferred directly through smart contracts during your trades, so you keep control of your funds. Link: https://www.fibrous.finance/faq#security-is-fibrous-storing-my-tokens ## Technical support ### Which wallets are compatible with Fibrous? **Starknet** Argent · Braavos · Keplr · Argent Web Wallet · BitGet Wallet · OKX Wallet · Argent Mobile · Metamask Snap **Base, HyperEVM and Monad** Most EVM wallets, including MetaMask, through the app’s wallet connector. Agents from Claude to OpenAI, and from Cursor to custom LLM workflows, can reason, plan, and make decisions at a level that was unimaginable just two years ago. But intelligence without execution is just theory. Until now, connecting an AI agent to real DeFi operations meant building custom integrations, managing complex wallet infrastructure, and writing brittle onchain scripts by hand. **This changes today.** We are excited to announce **FibX**, a CLI-based DeFi execution layer and pre-built agent skill framework. FibX empowers AI agents to perform complex onchain financial operations through natural language. Swap tokens, send funds, manage Aave V3 positions, and verify transactions across Base, Citrea, HyperEVM, and Monad, without writing a single line of custom blockchain logic. ### **What is FibX? (TL;DR)** FibX is an intent-driven execution layer that wraps the entire DeFi execution stack into a clean, machine-readable CLI interface. It provides structured JSON outputs, built in transaction simulation, and intelligent defaults to prevent common execution failures, making it the perfect bridge between AI reasoning and onchain action. ## **Why AI Agents Need a DeFi Execution Layer** Managing decentralized finance across multiple chains is operationally complex. Each blockchain has its own RPC endpoints, token addresses, DEX routers, gas mechanisms, and approval flows. Even for experienced developers, coordinating a multi-step DeFi workflow like checking balances, finding a route, approving tokens, simulating the transaction, executing, and verifying requires non-trivial coding. For AI agents, this complexity is a hard wall. They can reason about _what_ to do, but they lack a reliable way to _do_ it. FibX removes that wall. By handling the heavy lifting of blockchain interactions, FibX allows agents to call commands directly, utilizing built-in simulations before every execution to prevent costly onchain errors. ## **What FibX Enables: Key Use Cases** ### **1\. Conversational Token Swaps** A user tells an agent: _"Swap 0.1 ETH to USDC on Base."_ Previously, this required the agent to query a DEX API, build a transaction, manage approvals, estimate gas, and sign. With FibX, the agent executes a single, clean command: **npx fibx@latest trade 0.1 ETH USDC** FibX routes the swap through Fibrous aggregation, automatically splitting across the best available liquidity sources. The agent receives a structured JSON result containing the output amount, route taken, gas used, and transaction hash. Wrap and unwrap operations (ETH ↔ WETH, cBTC ↔ wcBTC) are handled completely under the hood. ### **2\. Multi-Chain Portfolio Execution** AI agents managing portfolios across chains no longer need custom for each chain’s integrations. FibX supports Base, Citrea, HyperEVM, and Monad under a unified interface. Switching chains is as simple as adding a flag: **npx fibx@latest trade 1 MON USDC --chain monad** **npx fibx@latest balance --chain citrea** **npx fibx@latest send 50 0xRecipient USDC --chain base** An agent can assess balances across all supported networks, determine optimal rebalancing moves, and execute them in sequence—or in a scripted pipeline using the --json output flag for each step. ### **3\. Aave V3 Position Management on Base** Lending protocol interactions are among the most error-prone operations in DeFi. Health factors, liquidation thresholds, interest accrual, and ETH/WETH distinctions create multiple points of failure. FibX handles all of this natively: > \# Check health factor and net worth > npx fibx@latest aave status > \# Auto-wraps ETH → WETH before supplying > npx fibx@latest aave supply 1 ETH > \# Borrow against collateral > npx fibx@latest aave borrow 500 USDC > \# Repays full WETH debt, auto-wraps ETH > npx fibx@latest aave repay max ETH > \# Withdraws WETH, auto-unwraps to ETH > npx fibx@latest aave withdraw max ETH **Built-in Safety Guardrails:** If the health factor drops below 1.5, the agent is warned. If it falls below 1.1, the operation is blocked until explicitly confirmed. The max keyword automatically handles dust and accrued interest, leaving no residual balances or failed transactions. ### **4\. Autonomous Transaction Verification** After any operation, agents can verify execution and surface the block explorer link to users automatically: > **npx fibx@latest tx-status 0xabc...def** > **npx fibx@latest tx-status 0xabc...def --chain monad** The response includes confirmation status, block number, gas used, and a direct link to the appropriate chain explorer. ## **Agent Skills: Natural Language to Onchain Execution** For teams building with AI agents, FibX ships with a ready-to-use skill library at [github.com/Fibrous-Finance/fibx-skills](https://github.com/Fibrous-Finance/fibx-skills?ref=fibrous.ghost.io). These are pre-built [Agent Skills](https://agentskills.io/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) specifications that map natural language intents to FibX CLI commands. Install them in a single line: > **npx skills add Fibrous-Finance/fibx-skills** Seven skills are available out of the box: | Skill | What It Does | | ------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | | authenticate-wallet | Private key import or email OTP login via Privy | | balance | Check native and ERC-20 token balances | | send | Transfer tokens to any address | | trade | Swap tokens via Fibrous aggregation | | aave | Full Aave V3 lifecycle on Base | | tx-status | Transaction verification with explorer link | | config | Set custom RPC URLs to bypass rate limits | Once installed, agents can interpret conversational prompts (e.g., _"Supply 1 ETH to Aave"_) and route them to the correct skill, complete with parameter extraction, pre-execution validation, and structured response handling. ## **Wallet Authentication: Your Key, Your Choice** FibX supports two flexible authentication paths, creating a persistent session for all subsequent commands: 1. **Direct Key Import:** Import your private key directly. It is encrypted locally and used for signing without any external dependency. > **npx fibx@latest auth import** 1. **Privy Integration:** For server-managed wallets, FibX integrates with Privy for email OTP-based onboarding. Ideal for agents provisioning wallets dynamically. ## **Built for the Agent-Native Stack** FibX is designed from the ground up for machine consumption. Every command supports --json output for clean integration into agent pipelines. Transactions are simulated before broadcast; if a swap would fail, the agent knows _before_ any gas is spent. There is no SDK to install, no ABI to manage, and no per-chain configuration to maintain. The agent calls npx fibx@latest, and FibX handles the rest. ## **The Future of DeFi is Intent-Driven** The shift from transaction-driven to intent-driven DeFi is happening now. Users and agents should be able to describe what they want like _"rebalance my position"_ or _"swap and supply in one step"_ and have the execution layer handle routing, simulation, approvals, and verification automatically. FibX brings the aggregation depth of Fibrous into a format that AI agents can use directly, today. We're open-sourcing the skills layer so any developer can extend, fork, and integrate. The execution primitives are stable and production ready! ### **Ready to Build?** - **Documentation:**[ docs.fibrous.finance/fibx-agent](https://docs.fibrous.finance/fibx-agent?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) - **npm Package:**[ npmjs.com/package/fibx](https://npmjs.com/package/fibx?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) - **Agent Skills Repository:**[ github.com/Fibrous-Finance/fibx-skills](https://github.com/Fibrous-Finance/fibx-skills?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) --- # Fibrous is Live on Citrea: The First Aggregator for Bitcoin’s First ZK-Rollup 27 January 2026 · Announcements, Integrations, Product Source: https://www.fibrous.finance/post/fibrous-is-live-on-citrea-the-first-aggregator-for-bitcoins-first-zk-rollup ### **TL;DR** - Fibrous is officially live on Citrea Mainnet as the first DEX aggregator. - Leveraging Citrea’s BitVM-based Clementine implementation to bring battle tested routing to Bitcoin. - Aggregating Satsuma and Juice at launch. - Partnering with Crest, Avail, and Rango to expand hyperbitcoinization. - [Trade Now on Fibrous](https://app.fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) |[ Read the Docs](https://docs.fibrous.finance/api-reference/introduction?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) ### **Unlocking Programmable Bitcoin for DeFi** Bitcoin is evolving beyond a store of value. It is entering a new era as a programmable blockchain environment, finally becoming a foundational layer for decentralized finance. To support this transition, we are proud to bring Fibrous’s battle-tested routing engine to Citrea, the network built on Clementine, the most sophisticated BitVM implementation to date. By combining the provability of Zero-Knowledge technology with the programmability of the EVM, we are establishing a robust trading infrastructure directly secured by Bitcoin. Our mission remains unchanged: Fibrous will bring all liquidity for your best trading execution. ### **Why Citrea?** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2026/01/data-src-image-a62c4370-f24c-4481-9049-645ea2ff3385.png) Citrea unlocks critical advantages for Bitcoin and Bitcoin-native asset classes. For Bitcoiners, this shifts the paradigm from simple holding to active yield strategies, accessible tokenization markets, and complex DeFi operations. However, transitioning from major assets like BTC to stablecoins or new tokens requires a decentralized exchange environment capable of handling high volumes without inefficiency. While Bitcoin-native markets have traditionally suffered from fragmented liquidity, the emergence of a new onchain user class creates a clear demand for a next-generation liquidity gateway. Fibrous bridges this gap by ensuring that every trade is routed with precision. For us, delivering a 'best execution' environment on a trust-minimized Bitcoin L2 is not just a utility, but a mission perfectly aligned with our ethos. ### **Proof of Scale: Citrea Testnet Phase** To be a pioneer in a new ecosystem, you must welcome its first users. That’s why we shipped Fibrous on the Citrea Testnet as part of the Citrea ₿apps Campaign. This phase allowed us to stress-test our routing algorithm with testnet liquidity while introducing "early" Bitcoiners to our legacy interface for their idle assets. The results were a testament to the demand: - **80,000+** Unique Addresses - **322,000+** Best Executed Trades ### **Under the Hood: Liquidity Sources & Integrations** We are launching on Citrea Mainnet by aggregating two powerful native liquidity sources initially: 1. **Satsuma:** An Algebra v4 fork providing efficient, concentrated liquidity. 2. **Juice:** Bringing together Juice and Juice Dollar assets for optimized swapping as an Uniswap V3 fork. But we aren't walking this path alone. To expand hyperbitcoinization across different verticals, we are empowering key partners like **Crest, Avail,** and **Rango** with Fibrous’s best rated swap API. If you want to enhance your ₿app interface, wallet, or trading strategy with best execution, integrating Fibrous is the most efficient starting point. We offer a plug-and-play solution for the ecosystem. [**Start Building with Fibrous API**](https://docs.fibrous.finance/api-reference/introduction?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) ### **What Awaits Citreans?** This launch is just the beginning. We are committed to growing our synergy with the Citrea community through upcoming programs and events. Beyond our legacy swap features, users can expect continuous improvements making Fibrous the "One UI" for all trading needs. Expect batched transactions, highly gas efficient trades, and a smooth user experience. And the vision is clear, and we are here to make it real: **A native DeFi ecosystem secured by Bitcoin, developed by Citrea, powered by Fibrous.** Cheers anon! --- # Fibrous on Monad: Unifying Liquidity for Peak Performance 24 November 2025 · Announcements, Integrations, Product, Updates Source: https://www.fibrous.finance/post/fibrous-on-monad-unifying-liquidity-for-peak-performance Monad combines high speed and parallel execution with EVM compatibility, creating a new building block for performant applications. But speed alone does not guarantee a good trading experience. In the early stages of any chain, liquidity is scattered across multiple protocols, pool depth varies, and the same asset can show different prices from venue to venue. No matter how fast the chain is, trading execution quality still depends on liquidity. Enter Fibrous. We provide the layer that completes performance. By adding unified price access on top of Monad, we deliver the best possible result for every trade. We provide the critical infrastructure that completes the performance picture. By building a unified liquidity layer on top of Monad, we ensure users access the best possible result for every trade, every time. ## **Why Monad Needs Fibrous** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/11/Why-Monad_--1-.png) Monad is more than just a blockchain allowing for fast, parallel execution, it is a universe uniting diverse stakeholders within a vibrant ecosystem. This universe demands an aggregator that can technically deliver near real-time price quoting and scan dozens of liquidity sources with a battle-tested algorithm to ensure the best trade for every token. Only Fibrous can fulfill this need. In this environment, the key to proper execution is evaluating all liquidity sources through a single lens. One protocol may offer a better price, another may have higher volume, and a third may minimize slippage. Users shouldn't have to manually hunt for the best route. Fibrous transforms this fragmented landscape into a single, unified price view. ## **Where we source liquidity** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/11/Liquidity.png) As DEXs in the Monad ecosystem expand, Fibrous integrates them one by one into its router. Through automated scanning, real-time pricing, and instant route updates, we continuously measure which venue offers the best execution at any given moment. This requires no action from users. When a new liquidity source goes live, it will not clutter the interface, but you will feel it in your price. The goal is not to be seen, but to deliver better outcomes. ## **What traders gain** A good user experience depends on two things: the right price and a seamless flow. Fibrous delivers both. Our routing engine continuously scans all available DEXs and liquidity sources, then builds the route that gives the best executable result. You simply choose the asset, enter the amount, and confirm. Everything else is handled for you. With Monad’s speed, Fibrous delivers faster price quoting. This becomes especially valuable during high volatility, when quicker pricing leads to better execution. ## **Why it matters for builders** Managing liquidity is time-consuming for application developers. Integrating each DEX separately, keeping price queries updated, and maintaining routing logic slows down product development. Fibrous removes this burden. Any project that integrates the Fibrous API and SDK unlocks unified liquidity for its users. The integration works across different interfaces and use cases, ensuring that every application on Monad benefits from stronger routing quality. Fibrous elevates Monad’s high-performance vision even further. ## **Impact on the ecosystem** The uncertainty caused by fragmented liquidity affects both traders and developers. Instead of five DEX with five different prices, there is one reliable price. Instead of five separate integrations, there is a single access layer. Over time, this creates a more resilient market. Liquidity deepens, prices become more stable, and large trades create less impact. Products built on Monad deliver more predictable results. The ecosystem’s growth momentum increases. **Best route, one transaction.** Trade on Monad: [app.fibrous.finance/?network=monad](https://app.fibrous.finance/?network=monad&ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Build with Fibrous: [docs.fibrous.finance/integrate-best-trading](https://docs.fibrous.finance/integrate-best-trading?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) --- # Fibrous Expands to HyperEVM! 8 September 2025 · Announcements, Integrations, Product, Updates Source: https://www.fibrous.finance/post/fibrous-expands-to-hyperevm ## **Fibrous on HyperEVM** Fibrous brings aggregated liquidity to HyperEVM, so you do not have to switch tabs on HyperEVM any more. We keep scanning all available liquidity sources, choose the best route, and settle onchain in one go. Quotes refresh right before you confirm with a short time limit, so what you confirm is what settles. On HyperEVM, the result is fast, reliable and clear. If you are building on HyperEVM, Fibrous is easy to integrate. With our API and SDK, your app can offer aggregated liquidity, smart routing and clear execution without rebuilding anything. ## **Why HyperEVM?** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/09/data-src-image-861c0d5f-a91e-45db-bd48-d62bb26e0d71.png) Every chain starts as an idea and HyperEVM is one of them. It comes from Hyperliquid’s trading engine and brings order book speed and accuracy to a familiar EVM setup. In the early days of any network, liquidity is split across sources and pairs, and stablecoin depth is still building. As activity grows, this split increases price impact and makes prices less consistent. HyperEVM brings performance for builders and traders; it also needs a single access layer so prices use all available liquidity, not just one pool. HyperEVM brings performance; Fibrous brings best price. ## **Where we source liquidity** We are rolling out coverage in phases so pricing reflects the whole market as HyperEVM grows. You do not need to track sources; Fibrous brings them together and shows the best executable price. Liquidity sources live today on HyperEVM: **HyperSwap, Kittenswap, Laminar, Ramses, Project X, Hybra Finance, HyperCat, GLIQUID, Valantis, Curve Finance, and Balancer**. We keep scanning these sources and route to the one that gives the best price at execution time, so your flow stays simple and consistent. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/09/data-src-image-c37c53c7-be75-4e5b-b715-4e48df719fd9.png) ## **What you get as a trader** You get the best available price without switching between sources. Fibrous looks across all liquidity, chooses the best path, and settles onchain in one step, which keeps the flow simple and reduces errors. From quote to confirmation, no surprises. ## **What you get as a builder** Integrate once with the Fibrous **API and SDK** and unlock aggregated liquidity for your users. Less fragmentation improves price discovery and market depth, and the routing engine scales with HyperEVM and with your product. You spend less time on plumbing and more time on features. ## **Stronger HyperEVM markets** Reliable execution builds trust. By bringing fragmented liquidity together into one dependable path, Fibrous improves price discovery, removes extra steps, and adds depth across HyperEVM. Traders see consistent outcomes, builders get solid rails, and the ecosystem gains a stronger base for growth. ## **What comes next?** Next, we are adding HyperCore's spot prices. This will add depth for major pairs, improve stablecoin liquidity and broaden access to assets listed on Hyperliquid. As each source goes live, Fibrous evaluates it with existing sources and routes to it automatically when it gives better execution. For you, the experience stays the same; the market coverage behind the scenes keeps growing. ## **Build with us!** HyperEVM is a new stage for DeFi performance. The result is the best price delivered in one transaction. ![](https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXdeO3s2i0JkZewQIxtO6kVHwvfUKGVoedugdJ8ybYmh8Mm8kYDLg-cTom5nvsVQr6FlnZeQ5TSWnDMwsDdAU3bLzxI7JBCNZ5MRBO2pDR56uv1SygPgyiyRqxDzNUGNp5uAM7M5ew?key=D8OQXI9SWZBtPQ7_Qd09Og) ## **How it works** As you type an amount, the interface fetches up to date onchain snapshots and the Path Solver evaluates candidate paths in real time. The Swap button only turns active when the trade is ready. **When you hit the Swap button,** Fibrous refreshes the quote on the latest block, estimates gas fees and applies a short validity window. If the minimum output amount is not met, the transaction is canceled and it does not execute at an outdated price. Whether you use the Fibrous app or integrate Fibrous into your own product, the wallet confirmation shows clear parameters such as route steps, minimum received and recipient. If an approval is required, you sign that first, then confirm the swap. ## **Onchain execution** The **Fibrous Aggregation Router** executes the chosen path in a single transaction. As events land, the Indexer updates the interface so you can track status live and see a simple summary of **price and the liquidity sources used**. On supported networks, **Gasless Swap** allows a **paymaster** to cover gas fees. With **Batch Swap** and wallet call standards such as **EIP-5792**, multi-step flows can be combined into a single action. Where smart account features like **EIP-7702** or **ERC-4337** are enabled, approvals and other wallet operations can be bundled into the same transaction. ![](https://lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com/docsz/AD_4nXfj6XMzdtGK-GCwCA6qdlz6CWq7N6cm_OG590UreyMf4cozNAKDx3sQfUAgcWagZsoA7_XFoHyhnGWtBxqU4-y9BOrRvZh01H1Jl6G1BFq2KHG1grc6ziedt1Wz344gTCzv9yH_lA?key=D8OQXI9SWZBtPQ7_Qd09Og) ### **For Developers: Integrate the Best Prices in Minutes** We extend an open invitation to all developers and project teams building in DeFi. On our journey as the first DEX aggregator on Starknet, we’ve consistently focused on this goal and strived to present a platform that offers different and innovative approaches. In our efforts to transition to the EVM codebase and expand to different networks, we aimed to provide the best DeFi experience to new user groups. To accomplish this, we modularized our core routing technology to scale effectively with new users and their demands. This modularization and scaling effort was developed not only for Fibrous’s tech stack but also to offer a modular design on the frontend, allowing us to add new networks, trading features, and interface functionalities. In developing the new interface, we based our methods on several key factors: - **User Feedback**: We actively listened to the suggestions and feedback from our users to understand their needs and preferences. - **Market Research**: We examined dozens (even hundreds) of existing swap interfaces to identify best practices and areas for improvement. - **UX Sessions**: We conducted UX sessions with a diverse group of participants, including non-crypto-native researchers and users, to gather a wide range of insights. These efforts ensured that the updated Fibrous interface is not only technologically advanced but also tailored to provide an optimal user experience. ### What’s New? ### 1\. Quick Wallet Preview / Portfolio Tab Now, when you hover over your address bar, you’ll get a quick preview that allows you to instantly see your most recent transaction and the coin with the highest balance. This feature provides immediate insights into your portfolio without the need to navigate away from your current screen. The **Portfolio Tab** on the Fibrous interface is designed to provide you with a comprehensive snapshot of your trading activities and assets. Its key features include: - **Current Network Balances**: It displays all your token balances on the network you are currently connected to, giving you a clear and immediate view of your holdings across different assets. - **Transaction History**: The tab provides a detailed record of your past transactions executed on Fibrous. This allows you to track your trading history effortlessly, monitor your activity, and analyze your performance over time. - **Direct Access to Token Contract Addresses**: For your convenience, the Portfolio Tab offers direct links to the contract addresses of the tokens in your portfolio. This feature enables quick access to essential token information on block explorers or for use in other applications. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-heefhstewozucy7v9ydawa.gif) ### 2\. Consolidated Trading Options We’ve grouped the Swap, Batch Swap, and Limit Order options together in one place for easier access. Fibrous is now venturing into the EVM environment, and our first stop is Scroll! #### **A bit of history…** It’s been an incredible journey! As the Fibrous team, we [introduced](https://x.com/FibrousFinance/status/1558523624138723328?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) you to Starknet’s first DEX Aggregator on August 13, 2022\. Since then, we’ve continuously achieved milestones. The Fibrous contract has successfully facilitated millions of dollars in swap transactions. But we didn’t stop there — soon after, we launched the [Batch Swap](https://x.com/FibrousFinance/status/1640716236924538880?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) feature, enabling users to swap multiple tokens in a single transaction, not just single tokens! Next, we [introduced](https://x.com/FibrousFinance/status/1696833952940470647?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) the Limit Order feature. This allows users to execute swaps at their desired price instead of just at the current market price — another first as an aggregator on Starknet! We didn’t forget about NFTs either; by integrating them into Fibrous, we [introduced](https://x.com/FibrousFinance/status/1612859863977136140?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) the first-ever NFT utility on Starknet, allowing StarkRock NFT holders to swap without paying any fees. Everything has been going smoothly and excitingly for us, and we began working on adding even more thrilling features to Fibrous! #### **Starknet… Perfect! But what’s next?** From day one, Starknet has been an exhilarating platform for us, and we take pride in being the first and best DEX Aggregator on this promising Ethereum-based validity rollup. We’re not ending our operations on Starknet — in fact, we are planning to introduce new features to the platform. The EVM integration brought up by [Kakarot](https://www.kakarot.org/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) sparked an idea within our team: how would it be to run Fibrous in an EVM environment? As a team that never hesitates to try new things, we developed a prototype of Fibrous compatible with EVM environments. The results exceeded our expectations, and then we thought: why not fully support an EVM environment? With the support of our community, we began and completed the work to make Fibrous fully EVM compatible. Our first stop is now Scroll and we owe a lot of our success to the Fibrous community. Their feedback and suggestions have been invaluable in shaping the platform into what it is today. As we move to Scroll, we’ve taken user feedback to heart, particularly when it comes to the UI/UX experience. We’ve redesigned the interface based on community suggestions to ensure that Fibrous remains intuitive and user-friendly, reflecting the needs of our users at every step. As part of our transition to Scroll, we have eliminated all swap fees on the platform. _It is just free for now!_ #### **What comes after Scroll?** While our current focus is on making Fibrous the best it can be on Scroll, we have exciting plans for the future. After refining our platform on Scroll, we aim to expand Fibrous across other EVM-compatible chains. This is just the beginning of a larger journey. Our long-term goal is to evolve Fibrous into a fully decentralized platform governed by its community, complete with revenue-sharing mechanisms that allow users to benefit from the success they help create. We believe in a future where the community has a say in every aspect of the platform, ensuring that Fibrous always aligns with the needs and desires of its users. Thus, Scroll is just the beginning — a small step for us, but a giant leap for Fibrous. --- #### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Discord: [Fibrous](https://discord.gg/fibrous?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance --- # Why You Should Use Fibrous? 26 August 2024 · Product, Tutorials, Trading Source: https://www.fibrous.finance/post/why-you-should-use-fibrous DeFi is revolutionizing the way we trade, invest, and interact with financial systems. However, as the landscape evolves, so too do the challenges. While regular DEXs have laid the groundwork for decentralized exchanges, they often come with limitations that can significantly affect your trading experience. That’s where Pricebuilder — Fibrous — steps in. As a next-gen DEX aggregator on Starknet, Fibrous offers a user-centric platform designed to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and give you unrivaled control over your trades. Here’s why Fibrous should be your platform of choice in this dynamic space. **Smarter Trading with Aggregated Liquidity** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-lyz0la1pmvfqvosyszty_g.png) One of the main challenges in DeFi is the fragmentation of liquidity across numerous sources. Whether it’s an AMM, PMM, or CLOB DEX, it may not always be possible to execute transactions optimally from a single source of liquidity. Fibrous addresses this issue by aggregating liquidity from multiple sources in your network to provide the best trading path. But that’s not all. As your trade navigates multiple routes, our Flash Account feature optimizes gas fees, ensuring that the more complex your trade, the more you save. Traditional AMMs simply can’t match this level of efficiency. **Batch Swaps: Maximizing Efficiency, Minimizing Costs** In a traditional AMM, each swap requires a separate transaction, each incurring its own gas fee. This can quickly add up, especially when managing a diverse portfolio. Fibrous is revolutionizing this process with the Batch Swap feature, which allows you to bundle multiple swaps into a single transaction. This isn’t just a time-saver; it’s a powerful tool for cost reduction. Imagine executing multiple trades at once, all while paying just one gas fee. Whether you’re rebalancing your portfolio, exploring new tokens, or consolidating your assets, Batch Swaps on Fibrous offer the efficiency and cost-effectiveness necessary to optimize every trade. **Limit Orders: Precision Trading on Your Terms** Timing is everything in trading, and this is where Fibrous truly excels. Traditional AMMs execute trades at the current market price, offering little control over the final outcome. With Fibrous, you gain access to Limit Orders, a feature that allows you to set the exact price at which your trade should execute. This capability enables you to strategically plan your trades to occur only when the market reaches your desired price. Whether you’re targeting a market dip to buy at a lower price or aiming to sell at a peak, Fibrous ensures that your trades are executed precisely when you intend, even if you’re not actively monitoring the market. **Another Destination: Swap and Send in One Go** Managing multiple transactions can be cumbersome and costly, especially when dealing with high volumes or needing to send tokens to another wallet after swapping. Other DEXs require these actions to be executed separately, doubling the effort and the gas fees. Fibrous simplifies this with the ‘Another Destination’ feature, allowing you to swap and send tokens in a single transaction. Whether you’re diversifying your holdings, transferring funds to a different wallet, or streamlining your operations, Another Destination ensures that you complete your transactions in one go, reducing both the number of steps and the associated costs. It’s an all-in-one solution that others don’t offer. **Flash Accounting: Saving More as You Trade More** A standout feature of Fibrous is Flash Accounting, a technology that becomes increasingly valuable as your trades grow more complex. As your trade routes navigate multiple liquidity sources, Flash Accounting optimizes gas costs, meaning that instead of paying more for a complex trade, you actually save more. The more routes your trade takes, the greater your savings — competitive edge others simply can’t match! This unique feature not only enhances trading efficiency but also ensures that you retain more of your assets, making Fibrous the smarter choice for traders who value both performance and cost-effectiveness. **A User Experience Tailored to Your Needs** Your pricebuilder combines powerful features with an intuitive, user-friendly interface that caters to both novice and experienced traders. Whether you’re executing a simple swap or managing a complex set of trades, Fibrous provides a seamless experience that makes trading accessible and efficient. Moreover, Fibrous is built with a community-driven approach. We listen to our users and continuously improve our platform based on their feedback. Features like Batch Swaps, Limit Orders, and Another Destination were developed in response to community needs, ensuring that Fibrous evolves alongside the DeFi space. **Join the Fibrous** In a world where every second counts and every trade impacts your bottom line, pricebuilder offers the tools and features you need to stay ahead. From smart routing and Flash Accounting to Batch Swaps and Limit Orders, Fibrous is designed to give you the upper hand in the DeFi. We’re not just aggregating liquidity; we’re aggregating the best of what DeFi has to offer, all in one place. So, why settle for less when you can Fibrous? Join us today and experience the future of decentralized trading on Starknet. With Fibrous, you’re not just trading — you’re trading smarter, faster, and more efficiently than ever before. Together, we will shape the future of decentralized finance. --- ### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Discord: [Fibrous](https://discord.gg/fibrous?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance --- # What is Positive Slippage? 20 July 2024 · Product, Tutorials, Trading, Liquidity Source: https://www.fibrous.finance/post/what-is-positive-slippage Let’s dive into **Positive Slippage** and how it can benefit your trades! **Introduction** Slippage is a phenomenon that occurs when the price at which a trade is executed differs from the expected price. This discrepancy is primarily due to rapid price changes between the time an order is placed and the time it is executed. Considering the crypto arena remains more volatile compared to other financial markets, slippage is a common issue in fast-moving markets and can significantly impact trading outcomes. It is a critical concept for traders to understand as it affects all trading strategies, not just those in volatile markets. Understanding slippage is vital for traders because it directly affects the profitability of trades. When slippage occurs, it can lead to unexpected costs and reduced profits. By comprehending the causes and effects of slippage, traders can develop strategies to mitigate its impact, ensuring more accurate execution of trades and better financial outcomes. **Slippage in Finance** Slippage happens when there is a difference between the expected price of a trade and the actual execution price. Several factors, including market volatility, order size, and the type of order placed, can cause this. For example, in highly volatile markets, prices can change rapidly, increasing the likelihood of slippage. Additionally, large orders can cause slippage if there isn’t enough liquidity to fill the order at the expected price. Market orders are designed to be executed immediately at the best available price, which can change quickly, leading to slippage. Limit orders, on the other hand, are set to execute at a specific price or better, reducing the risk of slippage but not guaranteeing that the order will be filled. Choosing the right type of order depends on market conditions and trading strategy to manage slippage effectively. Market volatility refers to the speed and extent of price changes in the market. During periods of high volatility, prices can swing dramatically within short periods, increasing the risk of slippage. Traders need to stay aware of market conditions and adjust their trading strategies accordingly to minimize the impact of volatility on their trades. It is important to learn Arbitrage and DeFi dynamics in order to turn this phenomenon into a trading strategy and generate returns. **Arbitrage in Trading** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-dr3vaahoutqxisv7.jpg) Arbitrage is a trading strategy that involves buying an asset in one market where the price is lower and simultaneously selling it in another market where the price is higher. This exploits the price differences between markets for a profit. Successful arbitrage requires quick execution and precise calculations to capture these small price differences. For instance, even minor price differences can be profitable if executed rapidly. Slippage can erode the small profit margins typically found in arbitrage opportunities. Since arbitrage relies on exploiting minor price discrepancies, even slight slippage can turn a profitable trade into a loss. Therefore, managing slippage is crucial for arbitrage traders to maintain profitability. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-xbmyk0se2gy__irz.png) *Prove it: [https://starkscan.co/tx/0xf0c7d9a30748fd38567a0ca18fa4ba0dc9ba6179b817afe11bf20bd211a769](https://starkscan.co/tx/0xf0c7d9a30748fd38567a0ca18fa4ba0dc9ba6179b817afe11bf20bd211a769?ref=fibrous.ghost.io)* **Liquidity Pools** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-viwwcrvu9fi4gbqw.jpg) In DeFi, the liquidity pools in AMM strategies for market making are essentially open to dynamic changes and susceptible to slippage. Liquidity pools are a fundamental component of decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms. They allow users to trade assets without relying on traditional order books or intermediaries. Instead, users provide liquidity to a pool and earn fees from trades that occur within the pool. This system ensures continuous liquidity, enabling smoother and more efficient trading. **Uniswap V2** Uniswap V2 uses a constant product formula (x \* y = k) and distributes liquidity uniformly across the entire price range. Liquidity positions are represented by ERC20 tokens, and all liquidity providers (LPs) share the same exposure to the price movements across the full range. This means that a large portion of the liquidity is often underutilized, leading to inefficiencies, especially when there are significant price changes. **Uniswap V3** Uniswap V3 introduces a revolutionary concept known as concentrated liquidity. Here, LPs can allocate liquidity within specific price ranges, allowing for more efficient use of capital. Liquidity positions in V3 are non-fungible and represented as NFTs, enabling LPs to customize their liquidity provision according to market conditions. This targeted allocation means that the same amount of liquidity can support much larger trading volumes, reducing slippage and enhancing capital efficiency. In liquidity pools, slippage occurs due to changes in the pool’s asset balance when trades are executed. When a large trade is made, it can significantly alter the ratio of assets in the pool, leading to a change in the price of those assets. This price change between the initiation and execution of a trade results in slippage, which can impact the profitability of the trade. The depth of liquidity in a pool refers to the total amount of assets available for trading. Deeper liquidity means there are more assets in the pool, which can absorb larger trades with minimal price impact, thus reducing slippage. Conversely, shallow liquidity leads to higher slippage, as large trades cause more significant price changes within the pool. Large trades have a more pronounced effect on the balance of assets in a liquidity pool, resulting in greater slippage. Traders making large transactions need to be aware of this impact and plan their trades accordingly to minimize slippage. This might involve splitting large trades into smaller ones or timing trades to coincide with periods of higher liquidity, ensuring more stable prices and better trade execution. In Uniswap V2, the uniform distribution of liquidity often results in higher slippage for large trades as the entire price range must absorb the impact. In contrast, Uniswap V3’s concentrated liquidity allows large trades to be executed within specific price ranges with deeper liquidity, thereby reducing slippage significantly. **Positive Slippage** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-0yazvkrfia2jdmph.jpg) Fibrous play a crucial role in managing slippage. We’re aggregating liquidity from multiple sources, providing traders with better price execution and reducing the risk of slippage. By routing orders through the most efficient paths, Fibrous ensure that traders receive the best possible prices, minimizing the impact of slippage on their trades. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-i3hofxcofi2wt_8e.png) *Check it: [https://starkscan.co/tx/0x2761c6e31cb4c6704409ac2a3518ffc7f94f9292b90cb9421e8606120ef7324](https://starkscan.co/tx/0x2761c6e31cb4c6704409ac2a3518ffc7f94f9292b90cb9421e8606120ef7324?ref=fibrous.ghost.io)* Positive slippage occurs when a trade is executed at a better price than expected. In the context of the above swap transactions, we can define positive slippage as follows: When a user swaps a certain amount of USDC or other crypto assets for another asset and ends up receiving more of the desired asset than initially anticipated, this is an example of positive slippage. For instance, if a user swaps 575 USDC, valued at 575 USD, and receives more STRK or ETH than expected, this indicates positive slippage. This favorable outcome enhances the profitability of the trade, as the user ends up with a greater amount of the asset than initially projected. This beneficial result can be attributed to several factors such as improved market conditions, increased liquidity, or better-than-expected price execution during the trade. Positive slippage reduces trading costs and increases profitability for traders. Thanks to the power of Fibrous, positive slippage becomes more achievable. Fibrous aggregates liquidity from multiple sources, ensuring that traders receive the best possible prices and optimal trade execution. By efficiently routing orders through the most favorable paths, Fibrous minimizes the impact of negative slippage and maximizes the potential for positive slippage, thereby enhancing the overall trading experience and outcomes for its users. In traditional finance, positive slippage might occur during periods of low volatility or when there is ample liquidity for a particular asset. In DeFi, positive slippage can happen in well-balanced liquidity pools or during favorable market movements. For example, in a DeFi trading pair with high liquidity and low trading activity, traders might experience positive slippage when their orders are filled at better prices. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-0ixsust2c9zyiwsx.png) *Source: [https://starkscan.co/tx/0x02784a2c3151d5225a29d8d7c823b8ec914cb79331d31aa9dba961250b1c0938](https://starkscan.co/tx/0x02784a2c3151d5225a29d8d7c823b8ec914cb79331d31aa9dba961250b1c0938?ref=fibrous.ghost.io)* Positive slippage offers several benefits for traders, including improved trade execution and increased profitability. By understanding and leveraging positive slippage, traders can optimize their trading strategies to take advantage of favorable market conditions. This enhances overall trading performance and helps achieve better financial outcomes. **Conclusion** Slippage is a critical concept in trading, impacting the execution prices of trades. Understanding the mechanisms behind slippage, the tools to manage it, and the role of platforms like Fibrous in reducing its impact is essential for traders. Additionally, recognizing the potential of positive slippage can lead to better trading outcomes. Positive slippage can significantly enhance trading profitability. Using ZK-Proofs for verifiable Cheap Computation, it provides more efficient routing and the best price fetching in a network. Normally, swap operations that would take dozens of stages can be completed in a single interaction, offering optimized price rates and gas fees. Additionally, the native Account Abstraction (AA) infrastructure provided by Starknet allows for multi-token input-output swaps. No matter what operation you perform, Fibrous’ AA-powered background minimizes interactions and complexity while maximizing rates for the user. Another cornerstone of Fibrous is its intent-based protocol and app access. Its algorithm, particularly in pathfinding and its entire feature set, frees users from complexity factors thanks to its intent infrastructure. For example, whereas normally executing order-based operations on AMMs with desired prices and capital efficiency would be a multi-step process requiring constant human intervention, Fibrous’ Limit Order feature offers access to your desired price in the network in the most efficient way possible in a single step. **Near Future of Fibrous** Fibrous’ main dedication is to provide the best user experience by using different tech infrastructures and stacks to differentiate itself from the complexity brought by DeFi. With this understanding, it plans to introduce a series of new feature designs in the near future. **Paymasters:** One of the widely used features of Account Abstraction is paymasters, which allow gas fees to be paid with various tokens based on the permissions provided to the relevant contract. Another point where Fibrous wants to contribute to this feature is to provide gas discounts for various scenarios and enhance the swap experience. **TWAP Orders:** TWAP orders divide a large order into several regular limit orders executed at fixed intervals. When configuring a TWAP order, users determine the number of segments into which to split their trade and the total duration of the order. With this feature, Fibrous plans to create flexibility for price minimization in large-amount swaps and various decentralized trading strategies. **Auction-Based Solvers:** Fibrous aims to be more than just a solver that offers the best price fetching; it intends to elevate price optimization by aggregating all on-chain and off-chain price rates, starting with independent sources offering direct price bids. This will not only aim to develop a new ecosystem around Fibrous’ routing capabilities but also transform its business model into a hub that extends to independent sources. **Finally…** Of course, all the upcoming updates and upgrades in Fibrous will not be limited to these. After its long journey on the Starknet network, Fibrous is embarking on a unified and chain-abstracted space exploration to discover the ultimate level that DeFi can reach. It will continue to offer many new integrations and liquidity sources with a focus on simplicity. --- ### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Discord: [Fibrous](https://discord.gg/fibrous?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance --- # Fibrous: Redefining Liquidity Hunting 1 May 2024 · Product, Tutorials, Trading, Liquidity Source: https://www.fibrous.finance/post/fibrous-redefining-liquidity-hunting _New look to old problem of DeFi with Fibrous_ **What is Fibrous?** In the dynamic world of Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Fibrous stands out as a cutting-edge DEX aggregator. At the core of this revolution lies Automated Market Makers (AMMs), pivotal instruments facilitating decentralized trading. In this detailed exploration, we will unravel the intricacies of DeFi, delve into the significance of AMMs, and dissect the challenges that arise when these mechanisms operate without the assistance of aggregators and aim to point importance of Aggregators like Fibrous. Later, we will delve into Fibrous and its importance at DeFi and decentralized trading more in our next articles. #### Understanding DeFi: DeFi, an abbreviation for Decentralized Finance, refers to a broad category of financial services and applications built on blockchain technology. Ethereum, with its smart contract capabilities, has been a primary playground for DeFi innovation. The fundamental premise of DeFi is to provide financial services without the need for traditional intermediaries, such as banks, allowing users to engage in activities like lending, borrowing, trading, and more in a trustless and decentralized manner. #### Fundamental Instruments in DeFi: 1. Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs): DEXs have become the backbone of decentralized trading, enabling users to trade cryptocurrencies directly without relying on centralized intermediaries. These platforms, like Uniswap and Balancer, enhance user control over their funds, fostering transparency and security. 2. Lending and Borrowing Protocols: DeFi introduces decentralized lending and borrowing protocols where users can lend their assets to earn interest or borrow assets by providing collateral. Smart contracts govern these transactions, automating and securing lending and borrowing processes. Platforms such as Aave and Compound exemplify this aspect of DeFi. 3. Decentralized Stablecoins: Stablecoins pegged to traditional currencies provide stability within the volatile cryptocurrency market. These digital assets are extensively used in trading, lending, and various other financial activities. DAI, USDC, and USDT are notable examples. #### Automated Market Makers (AMMs): AMMs represent a groundbreaking evolution in decentralized trading. Unlike traditional exchanges with order books, AMMs operate on a liquidity pool model. Users contribute funds to these pools, and trades occur directly against these pools, with prices determined algorithmically based on the ratio of assets in the pool. This approach solves the liquidity challenges faced by many decentralized exchanges, fostering more efficient and cost-effective trading. Uniswap, Balancer, Curve are prominent examples of AMMs. #### Challenges of AMMs Without Aggregators: Despite the advantages AMMs bring to the table, challenges arise when they operate without aggregators: Aggregators play a crucial role in addressing several challenges and drawbacks associated with Automated Market Makers (AMMs) and decentralized trading platforms. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-pmgzn1flsw5r-zjcdlstpw-png.jpg) #### Here’s how aggregators contribute to solving key issues within the AMMs at DeFi: - _Liquidity Aggregation:_ Aggregators consolidate liquidity from multiple AMMs and other decentralized exchanges. This aggregation helps solve the problem of fragmented liquidity, enabling users to access a more extensive and unified pool of liquidity. Traders can thus find better prices and improved order execution, reducing the impact of slippage. - _Optimizing Price Discovery:_ By sourcing prices from various liquidity pools and exchanges, aggregators enhance price discovery mechanisms. Users can access more accurate and up-to-date pricing information, reducing inefficiencies in trade execution and mitigating the risk of executing trades at suboptimal prices. - _Reducing Impermanent Loss:_ Aggregators can intelligently route trades through different liquidity pools, minimizing impermanent loss for liquidity providers. By selecting the most favorable paths for trades, aggregators help liquidity providers optimize their returns and manage the potential loss caused by volatility in asset prices. - _Improving User Experience:_ Aggregators often provide a user-friendly interface that simplifies the trading process. Users can interact with various liquidity sources seamlessly without the need to navigate multiple platforms. This improves the overall user experience, making decentralized trading more accessible to a broader audience. - _Mitigating Front-Running Risks:_ Aggregators help address front-running risks by optimizing transaction sequencing and execution. Through clever algorithms and order routing strategies, aggregators reduce the likelihood of traders being front-run, enhancing the overall fairness and security of the trading process. - _Efficient Gas Fee Management:_ Gas fees on blockchain networks, especially during periods of congestion, can significantly impact the cost-effectiveness of trades. Aggregators can optimize gas fee management by routing trades through networks with lower fees or suggesting appropriate gas fees for users, making decentralized trading more economical. - _Diverse Asset Coverage:_ Aggregators allow users to access a broader range of assets by connecting to various AMMs and decentralized exchanges. This broad asset coverage enables traders to explore and trade a more extensive selection of tokens, fostering a more diverse and dynamic trading environment. - _Enhancing Market Access:_ Aggregators facilitate improved market access by connecting users to liquidity across different blockchains. This cross-chain functionality opens up opportunities for traders to explore assets on various blockchain networks, breaking down silos and increasing overall market efficiency. - _Risk Management:_ Aggregators often incorporate risk management features, providing users with insights into potential risks associated with trades. This includes considerations such as slippage, transaction fees, and liquidity conditions, empowering users to make informed decisions. - _Adapting to Regulatory Requirements:_ Some aggregators incorporate features to adhere to regulatory requirements, enhancing compliance within the decentralized trading space. This adaptability can contribute to a more sustainable and compliant DeFi ecosystem. In summary, aggregators play a pivotal role in optimizing the decentralized trading experience, mitigating risks, and addressing the limitations of AMMs. Their ability to aggregate liquidity, optimize price discovery, and enhance user experience positions them as essential components in the evolving landscape of decentralized finance. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-fcjp_pa7dleibrlk.jpg) --- Conclusion: DeFi, propelled by innovations like AMMs, signifies a paradigm shift towards a more inclusive and accessible financial landscape. While AMMs have significantly enhanced liquidity and trading efficiency, the challenges they face without aggregators underscore the necessity for comprehensive solutions. Addressing these challenges is vital for achieving broader adoption, ensuring sustained growth, and solidifying the position of DeFi as a transformative force in the financial industry. As the decentralized financial ecosystem continues to mature, a concerted effort to overcome these challenges will be instrumental in unlocking the full potential of this revolutionary paradigm. --- ### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Discord: [Fibrous](https://discord.gg/fibrous?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance --- # Mastering Liquidity Aggregation 28 July 2023 · Product, Liquidity, Research, Trading Source: https://www.fibrous.finance/post/mastering-liquidity-aggregation **In a decentralized realm, when dealing with DeFi and liquidity, outcomes may not always align with initial expectations.** > This article does not cover how Fibrous works as we have already delved into this topic extensively in our previous articles. Therefore, prior to commencing your reading of this article, if you are new to DeFi aggregators, we strongly recommend perusing our [initial blog posts.](https://fibrous.ghost.io/wait-how-does-fibrous-work/) Without further ado, it should be emphasized that the primary objective of aggregators is to **consolidate all liquidity resources on a blockchain** (It doesn't have to be the only one, we'll get to that later) and facilitate the exchange of your funds with **the most favorable prices available.** **_In simpler terms, aggregators serve as a means to swap your capital in the most efficient manner possible._** Nevertheless, it is essential to recognize that navigating this terrain is not as straightforward as it may appear. **The best aggregator does not necessarily equate to the aggregator with the best prices. The intricacies of the** [**dark forest of DeFi**](https://www.paradigm.xyz/2020/08/ethereum-is-a-dark-forest?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) **often lead to unexpected outcomes.** ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-ggsupxoy6vorwdx9efacnw.png) The Fibrous team staunchly embraces Starknet as a preferred solution. Our dedication to Starknet runs deep, and we aspired to be among the first applications on this groundbreaking universal validity rollup. As a team, we possess an extensive (and truly substantial) background in DeFi, which provided us with valuable insights into the rapid emergence of numerous AMMs on Starknet. Unlike Optimistic Rollups and other validity rollups that utilize zkEVM, Starknet offered an entirely fresh environment (yes, CairoVM our love), fostering a diverse ecosystem. Nevertheless, we were well aware that each AMM that surfaced conducted swap operations solely within its own platform, creating a less than ideal user experience. Despite a single AMM boasting greater liquidity than its competitors, the unavoidable losses stemming from slippage and price impact in high-volume swap transactions remained a concern for users. _If you are curious about the origins of this slippage loss, we suggest referring to our earlier blog posts or_ [_this_](https://www.paradigm.xyz/2021/04/understanding-automated-market-makers-part-1-price-impact?ref=fibrous.ghost.io)_._ Notwithstanding our admiration for the vast diversity and vibrant ecosystem, we recognized that this multiplicity could lead to suboptimal user experiences. Consequently, we introduced the AMM Aggregator Fibrous, a platform that consolidates all these AMMs and liquidity sources in a unified interface, and we diligently embarked on its development. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-aj6skk3k4ibhzr-t.png) *_Old times. Some of the AMMs here are now obsolete._* As a consequence, **we proudly unveiled Fibrous as Starknet’s first pioneering aggregator.** As of the current date, it has facilitated a trading volume of 11 million dollars. yay. 🎉 Having acquainted ourselves with the benefits of aggregators, let us now delve into the intricacies and discuss the key attributes of an effective aggregator. --- #### The aggregator offering the best price may not necessarily always be the most optimal choice. Indeed, merely offering the best price does not automatically confer the title of the finest aggregator. The primary objective of aggregators is, indeed, to secure the most favorable price. However, in the pursuit of delivering the best price, **aggregators should also take into account the transaction costs associated with executing such operations.** To illustrate this point, consider a scenario where the price of 1 Ether stands at $2000\. Suppose aggregator A quotes $1999, and aggregator B quotes $1998\. If the transaction fee for aggregator A amounts to $5, while aggregator B’s transaction fee is only $1, then aggregator B becomes the more preferable option despite not offering the absolute best price. The gas expenditure varies among each AMM, including the pools within these AMMs, and even for each token, thereby resulting in distinct transaction fees. For instance, it is surprisingly more cost-effective to send the same amount of DAI to your friend on the Ethereum Mainnet than sending an equivalent amount of USDT. This divergence stems from how the contract is written; the more intricate a contract, the higher the transaction fees it incurs. For instance, conducting a swap in Uniswap v2 is cheaper than performing the same action in v3. Consequently, each AMM, pool, and token employs a different transaction fee calculation methodology. **An effective aggregator should prioritize providing the best price amortized after accounting for transaction fees, rather than simply presenting the best price at face value.** It is essential to bear in mind that the transaction fees increase proportionally with the number of routes and splits an aggregator employs for the swap. **Thus, a careful balance must be struck between the number of routes taken and optimizing transaction fees.** So, how about Fibrous then? **Fibrous operates with an algorithm designed to identify the most advantageous route by meticulously calculating all transaction fees involved.** Should the gas fee not justify taking new routes during a swap transfer, Fibrous refrains from determining an alternative route. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-iqlmdonkppo7uk8e.png) *Aggregation requires calculation.* Furthermore, it is noteworthy to mention that Starknet offers more cost-effective transaction fees for aggregators compared to other rollup solutions. _The reason lies in Starknet’s utilization of state diffs for data availability rather than CALLDATA._ Consequently, Starknet solely publishes the block outcomes to the Ethereum network, thereby rendering aggregators like Fibrous and oracle services such as [Pragma](https://twitter.com/PragmaOracle?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) more economical for users. --- #### A proficient aggregator also serves as the most efficient guardian of your funds. Indeed, a subpar aggregator has the potential to result in the c**omplete loss of your funds.** As mentioned earlier, we referred to it as a “Dark Forest.” An inadequate aggregator can genuinely lead to the depletion of all your assets. To grasp this concept, allow us to illustrate, in a succinct manner, what transpires with your transfer when you initiate the swap action. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-x7ucsh3ur8qky-jxlnoc2a.png) When conducting transactions on blockchains, these transactions initially wait to be included in the blockchain in an area known as the “Mempool.” Miners or validators on the blockchain (currently only one Sequencer for Starknet) then record these pending transactions onto the blockchain. Every transaction made on Starknet follows these stages. Now, let’s consider a scenario: Suppose a whale intends to increase the price of Ether and swaps 10 million USDC for Ether. In such a case, the price of Ether will rise. However, as soon as the whale performs the swap, it enters the mempool. Now, what would happen if another individual, observing this transaction, anticipates an increase in Ether’s price and wishes to buy Ether as well? What if the current validator writes this person’s transaction onto the blockchain before processing the whale’s transaction? This process, which interferes with the whale’s intended transaction, is referred to as “Front-running.” It serves as an example of a Miner Extractable Value (MEV). So; _MEV stands for Miner Extractable Value, which quantifies the potential profit that a miner (or validator, sequencer, etc.) can gain by leveraging their capacity to selectively include, exclude, or reorder transactions within the blocks they generate._ So, what relevance does this phenomenon known as MEV have to Fibrous and Aggregation? Currently, any transaction you initiate on DeFi applications within Starknet, including Fibrous, remains in the mempool, awaiting processing by the Sequencer to be included in blocks. Consequently, all transactions carried out in Fibrous are susceptible to external observation and potential MEV exploitation, which may lead to receiving fewer tokens than intended. To mitigate this concern, Fibrous and other Automated Market Makers (AMMs) implement a mechanism called “Slippage Tolerance.” For instance, setting the Slippage Tolerance to 1% ensures that the amount swapped cannot fall below 1%. Let’s illustrate with a simple example: If you expect to receive 10,000 USDC in a swap with a 50% slippage tolerance, you may end up with 5,000 USDC. By increasing the slippage tolerance, the likelihood of encountering MEV in Ethereum swaps significantly rises. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-tvyl6z3yxv9hbaa.jpg) *unlucky user paid $2,080,468.85 to receive $0.05 of USDT.* _It should be noted that the transfers most susceptible to MEV are those originating from aggregators._ However, the situation is somewhat different in Starknet. Thanks to Starknet’s singular Sequencer, **MEV is not present as the sequencer does not engage in such activities.** However, this scenario could undergo a transformation. As Starknet moves towards decentralization, a consensus mechanism will be established, and validators, similar to those in Ethereum, will be responsible for incorporating these transfers into the blocks. Consequently, this will introduce the potential for encountering MEV, and it raises the question of what measures can be taken to mitigate this situation beyond adjusting the Slippage Tolerance. In such a decentralized setup, how can MEV be addressed effectively? Are there other strategies or protocols that can be implemented to safeguard against its negative impact? As of now, our reliance on Starknet’s Sequencer has led us to adopt the approach of adjusting the slippage tolerance for Fibrous, and no further action has been taken in this regard. However, we anticipate changes in the future, and as part of our ongoing development, we plan to introduce a “Swap Matching Engine.” This innovative engine is designed to offer comprehensive protection against MEV and yield significantly improved outcomes. Moreover, it will pave the way for entirely gas-free transactions, enhancing the overall user experience on our platform. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-pt5-npngls8gbwllbofimw.png) As demonstrated above, we are introducing the “Matching Swap Engine,” a mechanism that enables the seamless matching of buyers and sellers through an off-chain signature process with the Relayer. This innovative approach ensures that the transaction takes place on-chain not as a simple swap transfer but as a mutual token transfer. By adopting this system, we can effectively _eliminate the risk of MEV, thereby reducing on-chain transaction costs and facilitating a more economical and efficient process._ Additionally, with the possibility of increasing the number of Relayers, we can achieve the best price through a meta-aggregation, wherein the most favorable prices are aggregated among multiple Relayers. This system is founded on the economic principle known as CoW (Coincidence of Wants), wherein two parties possess items that the other desires, allowing for a direct exchange without the requirement of any intermediary monetary medium. [Also see](https://cow.fi/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) The positive aspect is that we have diligently prepared Fibrous for these updates right from DAY ONE and incorporated them into our roadmap. Even when there was only one AMM on Starknet, we formulated our plans accordingly. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-0nxkg0hb1wpb6jcb.png) *Aggregation requires ambition.* --- #### A superior aggregator surpasses its boundaries and limitations. Not finished yet. A commendable aggregator goes beyond merely aggregating liquidity within one blockchain; it extends its reach to include **all other blockchains.** Indeed, such a feat is achievable. Consider this scenario: Imagine bringing a portion of the most optimized USDC equivalent to 1 Ether on Starknet from an AMM operating on Polygon zkEVM. This can be achieved, and we are determined to make it happen. Thanks to [Herodotus’s Storage proofs](https://www.herodotus.dev/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io), a technology enabling cross-domain data access between Ethereum layers, **Fibrous can access liquidity information from other validity rollups and facilitate the transfer of liquidity between blockchains in a trust less manner.** As devoted Starknet Maximalists and a team that holds steadfast belief in Ethereum’s principles, we aim to integrate liquidity from all Rollups into Fibrous within a modular future where Rollups can exchange value in a highly cost-effective and secure manner. In summary, the success and performance of liquidity aggregation, as well as the aggregators, are influenced by factors like MEV, price impact, gas fees, slippage, and the structure of other AMMs. These variables encompass a range of considerations. **Fibrous remains steadfast as Starknet’s premier aggregator, striving to optimize all these elements.** As we move forward, we anticipate reaching numerous milestones. It is important to highlight that **_Fibrous is a community-driven project, created by the community, for the community._** --- ### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Discord: [Fibrous](https://discord.gg/fibrous?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance --- # It’s time: Fibrous Alpha is on Starknet Mainnet 22 May 2023 · Announcements, Integrations Source: https://www.fibrous.finance/post/its-time-fibrous-alpha-is-on-starknet-mainnet ### TL;DR - The time has come. After months of hard work, we take great pride in announcing the release of Fibrous onto the Starknet Mainnet. --- We are introducing Fibrous Alpha, the _first_ AMM Aggregator on Starknet that accepts multiple tokens as input, enabling efficient swapping across any pools with optimal rates for any token. We have named this version of Fibrous _‘Fibrous Alpha’_ because there is still much development work ahead of us. We are just at the beginning and eagerly anticipate enhancing Fibrous and unveiling new features. Prior to commencing the swap transactions, let us begin by providing a brief overview of the current features of Fibrous and emphasizing the key considerations that warrant your attention when utilizing it. ### Cairo 1 Our initial objective was to develop Fibrous using Cairo 1 and establish it as the pioneering Cairo 1-based application on Starknet. The process of writing Cairo 1 and Fibrous has been immensely gratifying, and as staunch Starknet Maximalists, we firmly believe that Cairo 1 stands out as one of the premier programming languages for crafting smart contracts. Nonetheless, during our development phase, we encountered a few notable gaps in functionality. While these shortcomings have since been addressed, they caused a delay in announcing Fibrous. Consequently, we made the decision to construct Fibrous using Cairo 0 for the time being. However, we plan to expeditiously reimplement our contracts using Cairo 1 in the near future. We have already commenced this endeavor, and you can track our progress by following our updates [here](https://github.com/Fibrous-Finance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io). ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-f6sd2_k1zhsx82g-pzabqw.png) ### Fees We anticipate that as you optimize the amount you wish to swap with Fibrous and explore additional routes, you may observe an increase in transaction fees. This arises from Fibrous creating new routes by swapping across different AMMs and pools, resulting in corresponding increases in transaction fees. However, we have meticulously prepared Fibrous to account for this. It has been designed with Fibrous Gas optimization in mind. **If the potential profit from a given route is insufficient to cover the associated Gas fee, Fibrous will refrain from creating that particular route.** To clarify further, suppose Fibrous intends to allocate a specific amount of your funds towards a route that offers a $1 profit, but the transaction fee for that route amounts to $1.2\. In such a scenario, Fibrous will bypass that route, as it would not be financially viable. Hence, the most suitable route will be determined while considering transaction fees as a crucial factor. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-1k9k2_jc1oc9irnm1etfnw.png) As a consequence, as transfer fees on Starknet decrease, Fibrous will discover additional routes, allowing our algorithm to efficiently distribute your funds across a greater number of routes and execute swaps more effectively. It is important to note that approximately 95% of transaction fees on Starknet can be attributed to the cost of CALLDATA and STARK proofs sent to Ethereum. Consequently, when transaction fees rise on the Ethereum Mainnet, these increases naturally translate to your transactions on Starknet. However, with the future implementation of the 4844 update on the Ethereum Mainnet, transaction fees are expected to significantly decrease. Furthermore, the v0.13 update to Starknet will substantially reduce these transaction fees even further. Consequently, Fibrous transaction fees will be significantly reduced, enabling our algorithm to operate with greater efficiency. Like you, we eagerly anticipate the arrival of these updates. _In addition to these features, there exists a notable advantage in terms of fees when utilizing DeFi aggregators on Starknet._ _Unlike other Rollups such as Arbitrum or Polygon zkEVM, Starknet adopts a distinctive approach by not transmitting all data from Starknet to Ethereum. Instead, when employing Fibrous on Starknet, the cost is comparatively lower than other Rollups, as Starknet solely transmits state changes to Ethereum._ Furthermore, this approach substantially reduces the expenses associated with Starknet’s oracle services, consequently leading to notable cost savings for oracle-dependent functionalities such as the planned **“Limit Order”** feature within Fibrous. In essence, in the near future, the utilization of Fibrous will become considerably more cost-effective, and we are excited to announce that we will introduce a feature enabling **completely Gasless swaps** for our esteemed users. ### Transaction Times Another aspect that may warrant your attention when utilizing Fibrous is the transfer times. Similar to Fibrous, Starknet is currently in its alpha phase and does not yet operate at peak performance, resulting in extended block times. Consequently, when employing Fibrous, similar to other applications on Starknet, you may experience prolonged durations for your swap transactions. Another challenge stemming from this delay arises when Fibrous scans other AMMs for price information. Fibrous consistently relies on the balances within the AMMs based on the last block and establishes routes for your swap transactions accordingly. Slower block updates in turn impede Fibrous’ ability to promptly acquire updated information, occasionally leading to failed swap transactions. **As a mitigating measure, we have chosen to maintain the Slippage Tolerance at 3%.** However, during the swap process, you retain the option to adjust this value. Nevertheless, it is important to bear in mind that reducing the slippage tolerance may amplify the likelihood of encountering errors within your transactions due to the aforementioned circumstances we have elucidated. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-bzp8sritt5nanibgmpnb2q.png) While this inconvenience can be frustrating, rest assured that a solution is imminent. Really. Starknet’s upcoming v0.12 update promises substantial performance enhancements, which we anticipate will significantly reduce block times in a few weeks. Consequently, transactions executed through Fibrous will observe notable improvements in speed. Moreover, as the pool information within the AMMs is promptly updated on Fibrous due to the accelerated block updates, the occurrence of errors in your transactions will be greatly minimized. This will allow you to operate with significantly lower slippage tolerances at your swaps. The imminent arrival of remarkable updates on Starknet is really soon, bringing substantial improvements to both transaction fees and transfer times. [In this comprehensive blog post](https://medium.com/starkware/starknet-goals-and-roadmap-for-2023-fe7b89eead3b?ref=fibrous.ghost.io), you will find the answers to all your questions regarding these advancements. **LET’S GO STARKNET** ✨🐺 ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-kxmswrbwhvyno1-ycfnyww.png) ### Later on Fibrous on Starknet is poised to provide comprehensive support not only for all existing AMMs but also for order-book-based decentralized exchanges (DEXs) in the future. Our vision is to establish Fibrous as the central hub for token trading within Starknet’s DeFi ecosystem. However, our ambitions do not stop there. [As previously mentioned in our blog post](https://fibrous.ghost.io/fast-and-fibrous-v2-is-rising/), a multitude of new updates are in the pipeline for Fibrous, and we are just at the outset of our journey. At present, Fibrous offers support for Jediswap and 10K Swap, the two AMMs with the highest Total Value Locked (TVL) on Starknet. In the following days, mySwap will join our supported AMMs, while SithSwap will be integrated at a later stage and other new comings will follow it. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-mtx1dbqv4lbfdwk3cwzrka.png) *from [defillama.com](https://defillama.com/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io)* Moving forward, as we persistently advance the development of Fibrous Alpha in accordance with our roadmap, we aim to extend its accessibility to wallet providers seeking to integrate our Fibrous API, as well as other Starknet applications in search of optimal swap rates. ### and, of course, community Quests, WEN token people, Discord channel, gm crew, and more… As the Fibrous team, we firmly believe that Fibrous offers a range of advantages that will enable us to foster a robust community, and we are genuinely attentive to our users. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-_36zj6zuddjqgdtbvtcvka.png) In conjunction with the Mainnet Alpha announcement, we will soon unveil our official Discord channel to gather your valuable feedback and cultivate a strong community. We commenced the design of Fibrous in March 2022, announced it in August of the same year, and submitted our first prototype, Fibrous v1, for your testing in September 2022. We learned a great deal from Fibrous v1, which prompted us to make radical changes and develop Fibrous v2\. The new version offers significantly better pricing, faster processing, and a much more user-friendly application. We are proud to announce that Fibrous is now ready for Mainnet deployment. Before we officially make the Mainnet announcement, and deployment we would greatly appreciate it if you could read this article. It contains critical information that will interest **Cairo enthusiasts**, **Starknet fans**, **StarkRock owners**, and of course **WEN people.** 👀 --- Firstly, it is important to note that Fibrous has sought to become the premier aggregator and liquidity hub of DeFi on Starknet from the outset. It was the _first_ AMM aggregator for Starknet to be announced, and we had a functional algorithm in place immediately following the announcement. However, we have always prioritized enhancing the user experience and refrained from rushing the product to market before ensuring that Fibrous provides a superior user experience. During this period, we came to the realization that our decision to prioritize user experience was the correct one, as evidenced by the numerous enhancements made to Fibrous. Our algorithm has been optimized to provide **more competitive pricing** on a daily basis, making it **faster** and **more suitable** for use on Starknet. We are optimistic that Fibrous will establish itself as a prominent DeFi application on Starknet, as each swap you initiate will make effective use of all available liquidity on the network, **and some of your trades may even generate revenue.** We remain steadfast in our commitment to the continuous development of Fibrous without interruption. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-p_njczu944e-4n9x.png) ### What is Fibrous? First and foremost, we would like to provide a brief overview of how Fibrous functions: Fibrous is not a typical Automated Market Maker (AMM). Rather, it scans the AMMs available on Fibrous Starknet, divides your liquidity across these AMMs, and locates the optimal price and route for your swap transfers. **Essentially, utilizing Fibrous is equivalent to accessing all AMMs on Starknet simultaneously.** Therefore, you need not select between various AMMs, as Fibrous promptly calculates the most favorable price and route, and executes the transaction with a single click, _for you_. ### Why Fibrous? 1. The primary benefit of utilizing Fibrous is the ability to exchange your funds at the most favorable price point. While using a single AMM provides a price based solely on the liquidity of that particular AMM, **Fibrous employs all available liquidity on Starknet.** 2. Another significant advantage of Fibrous is its ability to facilitate **price discovery.** Upon entering the amount you wish to swap, Fibrous displays the value of your token in all AMMs and calculates the potential profit you can earn after optimization. In summary, Fibrous ensures that you will execute trades at the best possible price. 3. Recently, we announced the introduction of the “_Batch Swap_” feature, which provides another benefit. With this feature, you can exchange **multiple tokens for any token simultaneously** on Fibrous, saving you time while still ensuring that all tokens are traded at the most advantageous price. > We will continue to add more to the “Why Fibrous” question as we make further improvements. > We have outlined our roadmap in a [previous blog post](https://fibrous.ghost.io/fast-and-fibrous-v2-is-rising/) where you can find details on upcoming innovations and enhancements. ### When Fibrous? The Fibrous algorithm is fully developed and ready for use. However, we are currently making minor adjustments and **striving for Fibrous to be the first application written with Starknet Cairo 1.0.** ✨🐺 Therefore, we are utilizing Cairo 1.0 for the development of Fibrous contracts. Once the final touches are completed, we will announce its release on the Mainnet. We are in the final stages and the wait will be **minimal, really**. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-hk3gyzry5e0cq0987jrtmg.png) ### Fee structure of Fibrous After comprehending the operating principle of Fibrous, let us examine the commission fees. To engage in trading on Fibrous, a minor fee is required. Nevertheless, the fee will not be uniform for each token. For swaps between stablecoins, a 0.02% fee will be imposed by Fibrous, while for other tokens, it will be 0.15%. The fee will be deducted from the token swapped automatically, and you will not be charged extra gas fees. We understand and share your perspective on fees, as they can be a nuisance at times. It would undoubtedly be preferable to use Fibrous without any charges. However, please continue reading as we have some more encouraging news to share with you. 👀 ### Why Fees? If you have tried Fibrous on the testnet, you must have noticed its remarkable speed. This is because Fibrous keeps the liquidity information in other AMMs off-chain and performs all calculations for you off-chain as well. Thus, we can quickly calculate the best route for your swap. This approach is typical of most liquidity aggregators in the DeFi space, and Fibrous incurs expenses for these calculations. We must, therefore, charge a fee to cover these expenses and to fund our development and improvement of Fibrous. But here’s the good news: **using Fibrous is not like paying fees on CEX or DEX exchanges.** As an AMM aggregator, Fibrous serves to swap your funds at the best price possible, and positive slippages can occur on AMMs as well as negative ones. If the Fibrous algorithm finds a positive slippage, it will actually **pay you.** If you have experience with DeFi, you may have encountered situations where positive slippages occur due to changes in liquidity in AMM pools or during trades between certain tokens. For instance, let’s say you want to convert 100 USDC to 105 DAI. If Fibrous finds a route that enables this conversion with a positive slippage, it will pay you. During our tests, we observed that positive slippages occurred frequently. Instead of keeping these gains for ourselves without your knowledge, we believe it is more appropriate and ethical to charge a small fee and pass on the all positive slippages to you. Yes, sometimes, we’ll also pay for your swaps on Fibrous. 🤯 Perhaps you’re still not convinced about paying fees. In that case, we have another option for you: **owning a StarkRock NFT**. The StarkRock collection comprises 444 unique rocks, and owning one of them exempts you from **any service fees charged by Fibrous**, 0% life time. You will only need to pay the standard Starknet transaction gas fees. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-1sdeklcafliujarvwcr88g.png) Have we not yet convinced you? We are confident that you will with this: #### As the Fibrous team, we believe it is important to share the fees we collect with our users, creating a mutually beneficial relationship where our community benefits from the profit generated through the Fibrous protocol. To achieve this goal, we must develop a method for distributing the collected fees to the community. 👀 We believe you understand our vision about this, and we hope you will be excited to join us on this journey. 😇 --- In summary, the launch of Fibrous’ Mainnet is rapidly approaching. Our team has prioritized user experience and ease of use throughout the development process, and we have taken great care to ensure that our platform is not prematurely released with limited functionality. **We are now confident that Fibrous is ready to showcase its full potential.** We remain committed to enhancing our platform and expanding its capabilities, and we are dedicated to establishing Fibrous as the premier DeFi hub for Starknet. Stay tuned for our Mainnet announcement, which will include exciting new features and enhancements later on. > _Additional note:_ > We will be launching a Fibrous Discord channel, and the announcement will be made alongside the Mainnet launch. > We are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to connect with you. Please visit [https://fibrous.finance/](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) to get started. - While the development process for Fibrous on the Mainnet is still ongoing, this will be our final public test to ensure that our algorithm functions as intended. --- As a reminder, we introduced the second version of Fibrous to you last month and provided a [comprehensive overview](https://fibrous.ghost.io/fast-and-fibrous-v2-is-rising/) of all the modifications that have been and will be made. We believe it is now appropriate to present the modifications made to Fibrous with version 2 to your usage. This test will serve as the final evaluation of Fibrous prior to its deployment on the Mainnet. Upon the arrival of Cairo 1.0 on StarkNet and the activation of Automated Market Makers (AMMs), we will proceed with the migration of Fibrous to the Mainnet, **making it fully available** for your use. We have made substantial improvements and modifications to Fibrous since its first version. The latest iteration, version 2, offers a greatly improved price exploration algorithm and user experience. In the first version, you conducted testing with two AMMs and three test tokens. For version 2, we sought to increase the level of complexity and introduced five different tokens, four unique AMMs, and 30 different pools. Additionally, we aimed to create diverse liquidity in each pool to challenge our algorithm and verify that the prices across all pools are equalized as a result of the swap facilitated by testers of Fibrous. This will ensure the correctness of the algorithm. Upon completion of this test, we will confirm the accuracy of our algorithm. Then, we will commence aggregating liquidity from other AMMs on StarkNet instead of those that we have manually added. This will mark our full preparedness for deployment on the Mainnet. _So yes, this is the final test._ #### So how do we test Fibrous? - Go to [https://fibrous.finance/](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) and launch our dApp. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-goffuro_5uybdf3jsjkxvg.png) - Connect your ArgentX or Braavos wallet. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-ymyfkljs6vuoapk4_xcica.png) - To obtain Test tokens, please click on the tokens and then select Mint from the pop-up screen. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-i6w04nbnjtxbwaxmdslvha.png) - Please sign the Mint transaction through your wallet and wait for its completion. It is important to note that you will require some göETH on StarkNet Goerli Testnet to process transactions. **_You are able to execute a Mint transaction once every 24 hours._** - Upon confirmation of the transaction, you are now ready to proceed. Utilize Fibrous to swap any desired test token and assist us in constructing the premier aggregator on StarkNet! _We kindly remind you that as StarkNet is currently in its Alpha phase, transactions on Fibrous may experience some delays. However, as StarkNet will be constantly accelerating, future swaps on Fibrous will be notably faster._ --- #### Well, then? Following the completion of this Testnet, we will make a few minor additions to Fibrous and await the arrival of Cairo 1.0\. We will then recompile our Router Contract using Cairo 1.0 and prepare Fibrous for deployment on the Mainnet. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-qwcy2qjxxk6xhhrz.png) Please note that our efforts will not conclude at this point. As previously mentioned in our blog post on Fibrous, we will continue to add new features, including Cross Rollup and Mainnet Bridging, Multi-token inputs, a Backup mode, Limit Orders, and Gasless transactions, one by one. _Please consider that the routing process may be somewhat slow at this time. However, we are taking steps for mainnet to significantly improve the speed of the routing process by re-writing our API in Rust._ 🦀 --- ### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance _It is worth noting that Fibrous does not currently have a Discord or Telegram channel. Following the Cairo 1.0 update, we will rewrite our Router contracts, address any potential errors we encounter on the Testnet, and migrate to the Mainnet. - We overhauled our algorithm in the first version and the v2 algorithm now performs significantly better with more features. - Many more ideas and developments await Fibrous in the future. --- What a year it has been! 2022 has not been a particularly good year for cryptocurrency investors. However, it has taught us all the importance of decentralized finance (DeFi) and the drawbacks of centralized finance (CeFi). We have witnessed the collapse of centralized exchanges and other centralized financial applications. But do not worry; decentralized alternatives are improving day by day and Fibrous is pleased to be a part of this improvement. The new version of Fibrous will soon allow you to trade coins in a decentralized manner, putting all the liquidity on StarkNet at your disposal. Yes. Soon. Before we discuss our new version, we would like to address our silence. The Fibrous team has been diligently researching and generating ideas to improve Fibrous for months. The Fibrous project was initiated in April 2022\. Initially, we conducted a thorough analysis of other aggregators that are already on the Ethereum mainnet, examining their features and deficiencies. Our goal in designing Fibrous was to address and rectify these deficiencies. As both developers and traders, we desired to include all the features we wanted in a DEX Aggregator application to Fibrous. However, the most crucial feature for an aggregator is, of course, **providing the best possible price**. To this end, we began developing a price algorithm for Fibrous and, in September 2022, we presented our brand new algorithm for testing. Without overemphasizing features such as UI/UX. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-mbowaw6bid02mppu8vd1tw-jpeg.jpg) *Fibrous v1* While the first version of Fibrous was appealing, it was not without flaws. Although Fibrous endeavors to swap our own tokens on the StarkNet testnet in the most optimal way, we have come up with a superior idea. To understand the improvements we have made, it is necessary to briefly discuss the operating principle of Fibrous. Essentially, Fibrous scans all AMMs on StarkNet and divides the assets you wish to swap into various routes. It swaps many AMMs and token pools on these routes, constantly striving to offer you the best price. The first version of Fibrous only performed this routing once for the asset you wanted to swap. We considered the potential benefits of dividing the tokens obtained in each route into the route again and again and began working on implementing this new idea. We tested our new algorithm, which also divides routes into various routes, on the same AMMs and compared it to the old algorithm. We obtained significantly better results between 28 and 47% (depending on the tokens). We also were not satisfied with that. The first version was only compatible with Uniswap v2-like AMMs. However, the new algorithm is also adapted for concentrated liquidity pools like Uniswap v3. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-lcte9yjrvuxpvd34wyl6ra.png) We are confident that the new algorithm currently utilized in Fibrous v2 is significantly superior and will truly be the aggregator algorithm that provides the best price on StarkNet. Therefore, **we believe that using Fibrous is the most profitable way to swap your assets on StarkNet.** This is because Fibrous has become capable of swapping all types of AMMs by scanning all the liquidity on StarkNet, rather than just from a single AMM. In addition to the new algorithm, we also decided to completely revamp the UI in v1\. Both the website and the dApp screen of Fibrous have undergone a redesign. We have created a brand new router and believe that we have made it much simpler and more useful based on the feedback we received from you in the first version. We will make v2 available very soon. If you have any deficiencies or changes in mind for the design, we will make new arrangements until the Mainnet based on your feedback. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-kxa0nzdooiueabzassthpw.png) *Fibrous v2 (not taken from an actual swap.)* Of course, the new version does not end there. We are considering introducing many new features to the mainnet and would like to list the features that we have planned. > **Cross Rollup and Mainnet Bridging** > We thought it might be useful to transfer the assets you swapped in Fibrous to another blockchain (e.g. Arbitrum). We are working on a system where you can automatically send the assets you swap on the StarkNet mainnet to any wallet on the network of your choice. To this end, we are in communication with bridge applications. > **Multi token inputs** > Imagine you have DAI and USDC in your wallet and want to swap them for ETH. Thanks to StarkNet’s Account Abstraction feature, we will easily be able to add this capability to Fibrous. This will allow you to swap any number of different tokens for any amount of tokens you desire. > **Back-up mode for permissionless swaps** > To ensure rapid transaction speeds, Fibrous performs route calculations off-chain and exchanges the assets for you on-chain, sending them to your wallet. However, if the off-chain Fibrous API is down, you may not be able to use Fibrous. In this case, you will be able to activate “back-up mode” and allow Fibrous to calculate on-chain according to your preferences, making swapping from Fibrous completely permissionless. > **Limit Order** > A limit order is a financial tool that allows you to offer an asset for sale at a predetermined price. To provide an example, if the price of 1 Ether is 1250 DAI, you can use the Limit Order feature to trade 1 Ether for 2000 DAI. In the future, you will be able to sell tokens on Fibrous at the price you desire, thanks to the prices determined by smart contracts. This will enable you to execute orders such as Stop-Loss over Fibrous. > **Gassless transactions and more** > Despite the fact that trading on StarkNet is exceptionally inexpensive due to StarkNet and STARK proof; free is better than cheap. Fibrous intends to develop a “Swap Engine” in the future, enabling completely free swaps and safeguarding your swaps from front-running in the event that MEV occurs if Sequencers are decentralized on StarkNet. We appreciate AMMs, but we value profitable swaps more. This is why we plan to swap from Fibrous order-book based DEXs in the future and want to add this feature to Fibrous. ### Cool, but WEN? **Fibrous v2 is considered ready.** Of course, we have shared many features with you and will add them to Fibrous one by one over time. We will be releasing Fibrous v2 to the StarkNet Goerli Testnet very soon, and this version will be the final version before the Mainnet. The reason we are waiting for the Mainnet is because we will be rewriting our contracts for Cairo 1.0\. Therefore, after the Cairo 1.0 and Regenesis updates, all projects currently on StarkNet Mainnet Alpha will add their contracts again. We anticipate that Regenesis will be safe for bringing Fibrous to the Mainnet and want to add as many features to Fibrous as possible during this time. --- ### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance _It is worth noting that Fibrous does not currently have a Discord or Telegram channel. Please wait for official announcements._ --- # Just before you start testing Fibrous 7 September 2022 · Product, Updates, Liquidity, Trading Source: https://www.fibrous.finance/post/just-before-you-start-testing-fibrous The wait is over. As planned, we have Fibrous ready for you to test right after [our first blog post.](https://fibrous.ghost.io/introducing-fibrous-dex-aggregator-that-offers-best-swap-rates-on-starknet/) **Fibrous is live on StarkNet Goerli testnet right now**, and waiting for you to test our code. However, we would like to draw your attention to a few details that you should know before you start testing. #### 1\. Working principle of Fibrous We try to explain how Fibrous works in [our second blog post.](https://fibrous.ghost.io/wait-how-does-fibrous-work/) To summarize, Fibrous is just a tool that finds optimal routing across all AMMs of StarkNet. Therefore, we need AMMs for Fibrous to work. In our testnet, we’ve added two independent AMMs and 3 different test tokens for you to try Fibrous. To remind you, **these tokens have no monetary value.** They were created by us just for you to try our code. There are 3 liquidity pools in AMM1, and 2 pools in AMM2\. Our algorithm will try to find the best route for you between these pools. Liquidity ratios in pools within these AMMs vary. We deliberately wanted this, and we’ll let you swap any amount of tokens you want. You can create multiple addresses and mint more to be a whale with our tokens.🐳 Also you can check the routing without swapping any tokens, just enter the amount and see the pathing. > We’ll provide 1 fBTC, 10 fETH, and 1000 fDAI **test tokens** to try Fibrous. Hence, try to ape in swaps, show your degen spirit with our test tokens and challenge our algorithm to become battle-hardened for the Mainnet.🔥 ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-a5wnrldddyr4womrsovmrg.gif) *Lets forge the Fibrous, one swap to rule them all.* #### 2\. Transaction times and routing latency If you’ve tried other projects on the StarkNet testnet before, you may have noticed that transfer times are taking much longer than you expected. These delays will not change when you try Fibrous too. To be able to answer this, first of all, it is necessary to briefly talk about the working logic of Rollups, as StarkNet is also a permissionless and decentralized validity rollup. Rollups operate as an L2 network over Ethereum, and perform transaction execution outside the main Ethereum blockchain and send the transaction data back to the main Ethereum network. Therefore, for your transactions to be confirmed in Rollups, transaction data must be sent to the Ethereum mainnet. Since StarkNet is in the Alpha process, it takes time for transaction data to be sent to the mainnet. However, this will not take long, because a coordinator called Sequencer in Rollups will speed up your transactions much more. The sequencer is responsible for sorting transactions. Ideally, after receiving the transactions, the sequencer can immediately include these in the rollup chain and return a soft-confirmation to the user. This greatly improves the user experience and soon will be enabled in StarkNet. - Your transfers will receive sub-second confirmation after the Sequencer arrives at StarkNet, and more with parallel sequencing. Great, **we are also StarkNet maximalists**, but there is one more delay, due to Fibrous; _routing latency._ When Fibrous try to find the most efficient paths for a token swap between different protocols across StarkNet AMMs, it needs liquidity information of other AMMs. This process takes a while and despite our recent optimizations, it takes an average of 5–20 seconds for Fibrous to find the best price and route. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-_julqybpffbwe6jr.gif) However, don’t worry! We got it done for you! Fibrous was fetching best price by running our API on-chain in our first design. Just like you, we don’t like slowness and we don’t like to wait, especially when making swap transactions. That’s why we took a different approach and tried to shorten the time necessary for Fibrous to find the best price for you. We removed Fibrous API from on-chain and deployed to off-chain. Hence, instead of finding best price in 5–20 seconds, **now Fibrous will find best price in about 0.04–1 seconds!** Maybe, in mainnet, we can use our API on-chain, however we need a stable Indexing service for Fibrous to get price and liquidity information quickly from all AMMs on StarkNet in future. We are in talks with the appropriate indexing services for this, if it does not go as we hoped, as the Fibrous team, we will start designing our Indexer without wasting time. More interestingly, [with new updates coming to Cairo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny4Rv6ztINU&list=PLcIyXLwiPilXArkrdDypDDE05DtkYuS1n&index=4&ref=fibrous.ghost.io), one of which will be rewriting everything with Rust Language, we expect StarkNet’s performance to be more efficient anywhere between **25x-125x in the current state**. Thus, each transfer to be made on Fibrous will take less than 1 second and we will reach the speed we aim for and desire.🚀 To sum up, with the upcoming features of StarkNet, swapping on Fibrous will be **breathless.** #### 3\. Airdrop expectations As the crypto community, we love Airdrops as much as you do. We agree that airdrops have an important place in the token distribution of protocols. However, as the Fibrous team, we do **NOT** plan to issue Fibrous tokens as we mentioned before. At the moment, our only priority is to try Fibrous together with you during the testnet process to develop and optimize our codes as much as possible. Please do **NOT** consider the testnet process as the selection criteria for Airdrop. Just help us to make Fibrous better. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1--x6phk3o32-axpmm0i7beq.png) #### 4\. Testnet duration Don’t worry, there’s no need to rush. We plan to keep Fibrous’s testnet open for a long time. As you try Fibrous, we will make changes in our codes during this time and try to optimize Fibrous even more. To add, this testnet is not the final version of Fibrous. Testnet is only made to run our very basic functions. **Over time, Fibrous will be able to swap multiple different tokens for multiple tokens with just one transaction via Multicall**, also will able to use synthetic derivatives for better routing, and will also borrow stables 1:1 ratio using peg-stability modules such as DAI swaps for using MakerDAO PSM. This is not enough, Fibrous currently only allows swap between AMMs, but we are planning to design Fibrous in a way that it can also swap from order-book DEXs in the near future. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-mooo8oqmw6yxsoik.jpg) We will try to let you know about our changes on Twitter or in our Blog posts, also will share our detailed Road Map with you, if needed, we will announce more complex testnets with more AMMs, pools, and token variations to make Fibrous fully ready for the mainnet to offer you the best experience. #### 5\. Steps to test 1. Go to [https://fibrous.finance/](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) to test Fibrous! Tap Launch App. 2. Connect your StarkNet Wallet to Fibrous App interface. 3. After logging into our application interface with your StarkNet Wallet, make sure that your wallet is connected to the **StarkNet Goerli Testnet**. 4. Now, you need to mint some test tokens to swap on Fibrous. Click the **Mint** button on top. Wait mint transaction to confirmed on StarkNet Goerli. (This action may take time as indicated above.) 5. Once minting process is completed, you are ready to swap on Fibrous. Just swap your tokens across 2 AMM’s and 5 different pools that we created for you with a single tap. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-7kq_iksh5zxcrou0mvcqtg.png) --- ### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance Our Telegram and Discord channels are not active. Today, we will understand how Fibrous works and what makes it special in the StarkNet ecosystem._ [As we announced in our previous blog post](https://medium.com/@fibrous/d99e1b78b23f?ref=fibrous.ghost.io), Fibrous is a DEX Aggregator that offers the best swap rates on StarkNet validity Rollup. Now let’s try to understand how Fibrous is giving the best rates for your swaps across the StarkNet ecosystem. Firstly, Fibrous is not a traditional AMM. No liquidity is provided to Fibrous. Fibrous is just a tool that finds optimal routing across all AMMs of StarkNet. With Fibrous, you don’t need to search for the best Liquidity and price for your tokens between different StarkNet AMMs. Fibrous will automate this process for you. So, how? Genuinely, Fibrous uses an advanced optimized **order routing algorithm** to find better prices for you across StarkNet. One way that the Fibrous Router achieves better prices is by splitting your funds across multiple pools and different AMMs through all of the StarkNet rollup. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-warhzzwhbuzm41wyxqzggw.png) *\- the numbers are representative, they are not taken from an actual swap -* In the legacy routing, as you know from traditional AMMs, a swap was always executed through a single route. If you want to swap TokenA for TokenB, traditional AMMs execute this transaction from a single pool with highest liquidity possible. If there is not enough liquidity for this transaction, you’ll face high negative slippage rates and price impact of your transaction will cause a loss. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-hcd459zzvvobehpb8-efuq.png) Even if an AMM executes a swap with multiple routing, It will only route from the pools on itself. [Similar to Uniswap v3’s Smart Order Router](https://github.com/Uniswap/smart-order-router?ref=fibrous.ghost.io). Although this route is perfect for an AMM, it is not sufficient. Because the current routing takes place only in pools on a single AMM. Fibrous, on the other hand, follows a different path. Fibrous scans every AMM on StarkNet, regardless of any AMMs any pool, and finds the best price for you. In short, Fibrous is an AMM agnostic algorithm that cares only best swap rates for the trader by splitting your funds. #### How will splitting funds make my trades profitable? Before answering the question, let’s try to explain the situation with a brief example: Imagine that market price of 1 ETH equals to 2000 USD so let’s say there is a liquidity pool with 100 ETH and 200000 DAI in it. You want to swap your 10000 DAI for ETH. In current market conditions, your expectation is to swap 10000 DAI for 5 ETH. But you will get \~4.7619 ETH for this trade. How? In AMM’s there is a “Constant product formula” that the product of the number of both tokens added to the pool must equal a fixed number. The formula is: `TokenAPoolSize x TokenBPoolSize = ConstantProduct` So in our scenario: There are 100 ETH and 200000 DAI in the pool, so, 100 x 200000 = 20000000 is our constant product. The “constant product” is always a fixed number, regardless of the tokens exchanged. When you swap, 10000 DAI for ETH, you added 10000 DAI to the pool and total DAI in the pool become 210000 DAI. To fix the 20000000 constant product; 20000000 / 210000 = 95.238095238 ETH must be in the pool. There was 100 ETH in the pool before your swap; so you’ll receive 100 – 95.238095238 = 4.761904762 ETH. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-goeht-6ufyyl6rvb.gif) **We call this “Price Impact” in AMMs and calm down, Fibrous is here to help you.** Now, think that there are two seperate AMMs and they have pools with the same amount of liquidity. This time, imagine that market price of 1 ETH equals to 2000 USD again and say there is two liquidity pool with 100 ETH and 200000 DAI in it. Again, you want to swap 10000 DAI for ETH. If you use Fibrous in these conditions, Fibrous will split your 10000 DAI for 5000 / 5000 for two different pools (as they have the same amount of liquidity if they are not the same Fibrous will split it accordingly) and swap two portions of 5000 DAI with the two different pools simultaneously. If you make the calculations that we give above for both of the pools, you will see that for 10000 DAI, you’ll grab 4.87804878 ETH. **Congrats, you just saved 0.116144018 ETH for just using Fibrous!** This was a simple example to illustrate the advantages of optimized routing and splitting your money. Now imagine Fibrous doing this for every AMM protocol and every liquidity added to StarkNet. All in all, with Fibrous, your every trade will be more profitable, and you will be able to trade with very low slippage rates especially for larger trades. ### Well, how about Gas costs? Thanks to StarkNet, fees will be extremely low, ensuring Ethereum security. However, every fund split by Fibrous will be an extra cost for the user. To minimize this, Fibrous will split your funds up to five paths and will bring another solution for lower trades. Sometimes, lower trades do not need splitting, and routing lower amounts may not be advantageous. This may not be preferred as each AMM applies its commission paid by you and each route taken by Fibrous will incur a small extra gas fee. Even Fibrous is using a gas cost optimized algorithm that ensures every new step is net positive for your swaps. In such a case, especially for small trades, Fibrous brings the “Swap Cheapest” feature. This feature only serves to trade from the best liquidity pool **in one go.** By this, Fibrous will allow you to swap for the cheapest gas price possible, as it will draw a single route from the best place that has the highest liquidity. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-qcofcntdq4fj49zunlamow.png) *\- the numbers are representative, they are not taken from an actual swap -* In short, we designed Fibrous to be your swap buddy. Instead of searching for the best rate for your tokens, let Fibrous do the work for you. In a way that will make both the best rate and the cheapest. Our goal is to make Fibrous one of the best user-experienced dApps and we continue to work for it. In our next blog post, we can talk about the commission fees that Fibrous applies and what it wants to do better for you. --- ### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance Our Telegram and Discord channels are not active. We are proud to announce Fibrous, price exploration and routing algorithm across multiple AMMs that offers token exchanges with best and cheapest rate at StarkNet validity Rollup. Fibrous finds the most efficient paths for a token swap, also splits your funds between different protocols and aggregates best rates across StarkNet AMMs. ### What makes Fibrous different and why to use it? Although StarkNet is in the Alpha process, we believe StarkNet has great potential in the future. We anticipate that many AMM protocols will be announced on StarkNet over time, as StarkNet is a validity Rollup that ensures Ethereum security and also allows very cheap transaction fees. This is great but comes with a few problems. Many AMM protocols have been [announced](https://www.starknet-ecosystem.com/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) on StarkNet and due to the distribution of liquidity to many AMMs, it is a bad user experience for the end user to find the one that gives the most liquidity and the best ratio among these AMM protocols. This is where Fibrous comes into play. Instead of navigating the AMM that gives the best rate one by one manually, Fibrous allows users to swap the best rate with one click in the cheapest way without giving any extra effort. Just swap with best price possible in StarkNet. Fibrous aggregates all AMMs of StarkNet in one place. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-rzmx2p9s0fjq4-f3mvcmgg.png) ### Simply, Fibrous is your swap buddy. In short, Fibrous brings all the liquidity in StarkNet to near you, it serves to swap the most convenient route for you by dividing your money in the best way. You will want to use Fibrous for every swap you make on StarkNet, and Fibrous will be happy to do so. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-ir7dwv5kzvu7cpa--rzbma.png) *still under construction* ### Sounds great, WEN? We’re almost done with Fibrous’s codes. However, in order to use Fibrous in StarkNet, as you guessed, other AMM protocols must first come to StarkNet. As other AMM protocols start coming to StarkNet, we will add Fibrous to StarkNet and we will update Fibrous to get prices from other AMMs as each new AMM arrives. But before we hit the mainnet to try Fibrous, we’re going to do a test drive on the Testnet. **We will soon be launching Fibrous for testing on StarkNet’s Goerli Testnet.** In this trial, as the Fibrous team, we will add many AMMs and test the performance of Fibrous on these AMMs with Test tokens. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/1-mgzs9bykfuc24rti-z2mxw.png) ### I want to ape in, any token? As Fibrous team, we believe that tokens should have other utilities besides governance and voting like DAO tokens. For now, **we do NOT intend to issue tokens** without a real and quality use case. For the future of Fibrous, we can evaluate the tokenization later. Our only goal right now is to make Fibrous a much better place for its users. ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/ea/01/ea01f5df-8d13-4ac1-97b3-7060ea0dabd7/content/images/2025/02/0-m54n9qfeh2bsep_c.png) --- ### Get in touch with us Website: [fibrous.finance](https://fibrous.finance/?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Twitter: [Fibrous](https://twitter.com/FibrousFinance?ref=fibrous.ghost.io) Mail: support@fibrous.finance Our Telegram and Discord channels are not active.
